The FB and TE position

Seems like we usually have walkons or converter players playing these positions. When we have injury to these positions, then our offense struggles running the ball. When you run power and belly, like we do, we have to be solid in these positions. Just curious relying on walkons and converted players playing these important positions.

We would have had Melvin Jones I believe this year. He was good catching out of the backfield and his blocking skills were strong. I believe he didnt make grades or got kicked out for something, dont remember what.

Alabama has a former walk-on (ex-TE) starting NOW...Michael Nysewander blasting holes for Derrick Henry...(just like JD Moore) not to mention a slobber-knocker to Guice on kickoff team

Last game was the first time i really watched Mouton
He is athletic, but a terrible lead blocker.
He gets past the OLine and stops. If you are gonna arun into the hole and stop you might as well wear the other teams jersey.
