This weekend will indicate a lot. We still have a lot to prove to people outside of (and inside of, apparently) Baton Rouge and Louisiana.

It's sports entertainment. Controversy = ratings + something for the analysts to fill the time

LSU is winning the west. bama will be second. TAM will be third, at best, but could easily be fourth.

You forgot to add, "and LF is winning four Heismans".

The win over wisky gets little cred for a reason. We were expected to win and win handily. Instead, we were dominated for a half and played some nine minutes of quality offense to eke out a win.

We got lots of cred from Wis game. We were 3.5 pt favorites and won by 4 against an equally ranked team. We were the highest ranked team playing a ranked team to cover the spread. Meanwhile ALA and FSU eked out wins over unranked teams. ALA a 28 pt favorite over WV won by only 10, and FSU a 17.5 pt favorite won by 6 over OSU. Wis has a sophisticated offense and defense and we tried to overpower an equally powerful team for 2 qtrs+ by being predictable and Wisconsin outgained LSU 182-16 on the ground in the first half and Gordon's long run to start the third seemed to continue the momentum. Wisconsin mustered only 65 yards in the fourth quarter after injuries and our game adjustments.

We were dominated until Chavis and Cameron made adjustments that took advantage of a depleted Wisc defense and offense. Those adjustments forced Wisc to throw when they could not and Cameron's 3 wr spread out of the shotgun opened up huge holes in the line of scrimmage any back could have run through. Our running game opened up when Wisc had to go with only 2 down DL and respect the pass. We were dominated by running a predictable power running game with the O-line unable to open anything or block the stunting DL and blitzes that their super-talented DC Dave Aranda dialed up.

Wisc is the only game to reference on what we will do to adjust, it is the only real game we have played.

We get plenty of love from the press and national rankings. We have to win in the SEC before the non-believers shut up. Winning cures everything.
