Even if we go 14-0 we still won't get respect. Welcome to LSU

Exactly!!!

Winning gets the desired result at the back end of the season...

In all seriousness. We really haven't beaten anyone yet. While Wisconsin was a big opponent, they are in the B1G and we looked like shite beating them. SHS was a handout. Once we crush Miss St. and put up a showing on the road against two good SEC teams, people will start taking notice.

A&M looks scary good, IMO.

No, actually they don't.. We see this every single season and the same thing happens.. They drop games.

They looked pretty impressive vs South Carolina who is looking not so good this season. They barely beat East Carolina and they struggle against the spread.. LSU has the athletes and system to give a&m fits defensively. Then they put Lamar.. a high school team. LSU's win over Sam Houston was actually more impressive IMHO considering the talent levels.

The media (ESPN) wants another darling to talk about so much that they're making the biggest hype out of teams that have the same or less than we have so far. If Wisky win was not a big win, then nobody has a big win.

Wisky is looking like the best team in their league. They will finish high and we will get our credit, but it is funny to see these guys dance around the mention of us being any good.

"Go 5-0 and then beat Auburn..."

Not quite possible; Auburn's the fifth game.

But I agree with the sentiment.

You have to remember that it's a business. They pay these individuals to come up with stories to talk about. I guarantee you that when LSU beats Moo St. it won't be about how great LSU is, but how Moo St. has let down all the Cinderella teams. Honestly? Consistently winning is poor press. One sentence sums it up for them. LSU, Alabama, Florida St, OSU, etc all win 10+ games. That's boring. But God forbid VT beats OSU that's all they want to talk about.

A&M puts up 1000 points, they're challenging for the West (In the eyes of the writers), they're becoming dominant - that's a story. When they lose, they'll find something else to pump up.

Most importantly, who cares if "experts" don't talk about LSU? If we win, we win. That's all you need.

Actually, I count a lot. I even looked at a schedule and counted games before I posted...but it was missing a game. I was in too much of a hurry to read the names and realize one was missing. Sorry for the mistake; you're welcome for the laugh.

I guess that many LSU fans are having issues with ESPN not giving the same props that they used to give our Tigers. Well, the Tigers earned that respect back then and it's time to earn it back again. I am going to enjoy this season even more because those numb-nuts aren't giving us props.

I still say that this team should go undefeated. They might not because of youth but this staff is good enough to bring it all together.

Running the table will definitely elevate this staff to the top and the fact that they aren't going anywhere really makes the Tiger's future look sweet.

There is still the perception that we were lucky to beat Wisconsin. But does it really matter? If we win the next 4-5 games, we will be top 3

Why does this thread constantly get posted through every season?

We aren't some MAC school thats trying to climb the polls.

I can promise you, if LSU or any other SEC school takes care of business, they will be in the conversation at the end of the year. No one is looking at an undefeated LSU in December having beat Wisc, aTm, Bama, Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss and saying "Well I just don't think they pass the eye test..."
