Have the ever been to Hattiesburg? It blows! I think I'd be more concerned there, than in BR....

Do they really believe this?

If LSU starts to lose the game and you're in the AU section, WATCH for flying bottles be thrown in waves toward the AU section. AU won the game 2 of the 3 trips I made over there and the bottle came like rain each time.

2 simple rules for away fans:

1. Play along and don't take stuff seriously. When some drunken fool tigerbaits you or whatever just smile and continue on your way.

2. If your team ends up winning, DO NOT I mean DO NOT talk shite afterwards.

This thread as well as the Auburn one seriously has me laughing out loud.

Those people act like they're taking a trip to the middle of Africa.

I've walked the streets of Lagos, Luanda, and Kinshasa. The fear and horror they are describing doesn't even approach that. Well, maybe Lagos.

LSU fans did break a window on the UT team bus in '05. That actually happened.

They have been noted to pour/throw piss bombs on our band (true story). At least UGA just spit on them. Geezzz

This thread just keeps getting better.

quote:

To make a long story short, we were in the LSU fan section years ago. AU fan and his wife were a few seats in front of us. AU fan stands up to cheer in the 3rd quarter (we are getting blown out). They tell him to sit down and shut up (with other foul words). He sits down. The LSU fan continues to insult him and his wife, and then gets up and walks over the AU fan. AU fan and wife get up to leave and the LSU fan punches his WIFE. All heck breaks loose, AU fan goes nuts and jumps LSU fan, pounding him. LSU fans all jump AU fan. Police come up to our section and kick the AU fans out.

Come on.

Yeah. That was true and very shitty. Probably some drunk students.

At least I can admit when bad shite happens, but seriously, NOBODY is throwing piss balloons or tipping over porta potties.

'05 Tenn game is the only time in Baton Rouge I've seen a fan attacked.

TN guy was walking down a line of cars waiting to get out of lot, banging on them as he went cheering on the Vols. Somebody finally just whacked his drunk arse with a door and he laid in the grass yelling for help for about 3min, jumped up, and ran off into the night.

This. I have been going for over 40 years and never witnessed 99% of the bad things they describe. Bunch of BS.
