The Auburn game was an absolute mad house. That one was most satisfying for me.

That said, I'll never forgive my cousin and her (now ex) husband (Auburn grads) for getting married in AL the day of LSU-UGA.

The win over SC was key as said before, bounce back...The best player that year was IMHO M Clayton, I think he played defense some and special teams but of course was a great WR, DH was clear second choice (albeit a good one) and after Jeff Boss passed La Tech week, team knew its mission. Many IMHO again underestimate Mauck, without him we do not win NC. One more thing, Saban is one of best ever, but he partially cost us UF game, Jack Hunt and S Carey (who was THE RB for first part of season) were hurt when we were up 30+ vs Miss St..and missed UF game. Likely would have lost anyway, but it did not help. Also, someone help me, but one media guy picked us pre-season to win it all in 03, anyone recall who? I think it was an Arizona newspaper guy..

I remember thinking all year "man, our coach is boring", so it was interesting and fun to see him celebrate like he did after that punt ended the championship game.

Tigers whipped Auburn after Auburn players stomped on the eye of the Tiger at midfield prior to the game

I'm pretty sure that was the 2001 Auburn game that was in December because of the 9/11 reschedule. That was the game that clinched our first title game appearance.

Putting up 59 on the road at AZ
The Skylar Green catch v. UGA
The long TD to Devery v. Ole Miss to put us up 17-7 early in the 4th quarter, and then Eli's fall.
Justin Vincent's 87 yard TD v. UGA in the title game
The surreal feeling of watching the BCS selection show and seeing LSU's name in the Sugar Bowl v. Oklahoma to play for the BCS title
Justin Vincent's 70 yard run on the first play from scrimmage v. OU
Marcus Spears pick six
Jason White sack with 1:50 left or so
Surreal feeling of watching my Tigers hoisting the crystal. Never thought I would see it happen.

Manhandling Georgia in the SEC championship. I really thought that game was going to be close considering it was around their turf and the tough time they gave us in Death Valley. To come out and dominate them like that was just beautiful.

Georgia.
I was 10 years old and I remember that whole game. From thinking that long 90+ yard screen for a td was the end to Skylar green td catch. I was also at the 07 Auburn game. I have a hard time deciding which one was louder. Byrd or Green.

that was the first time in my lifetime (1974) that i can recall going on the road vs a "bcs" team and beating the shite out of them. that game was over in the 1st quarter

If it's going to be the worst moments, I'll nominate everything about USCw that year. Maybe they had some claim to the title as well, but that was LSU's year and the snide comments from Carrol about it is pretty much the root of my distaste for him.

I particularly remember the Marcus Spears pick 6 against Heisman White was epic. The eruption of sound in the Dome almost rivaled that of DV.

That Oklahoma team was thought of as one top CFB teams of all time leading into the Big 12 championship game. Their offense couldn't do crap. I want to say their only scores came after a turnover deep in LSU territory and a blocked punt?

The Auburn-LSU rivalry was at an all-time high during that stretch. What's strange is that a few of those games were blowouts (both ways).

Tubby was a poor mans Spurrier for sure.

We learned to hate Ole Miss from our guardians, but we learned to hate Auburn on our own during this time period.

The game was not nearly as close as the final score indicated. LSU dominated them in every aspect of the game.

Along with the Spears' interception, the Lionel Turner delayed blitz to end the game was the most memorable to me. Growing up in the 1990's era of LSU football, I never could have imagined them fielding a team as good as 2003.

Other than the NC game, the Skylar Green TD against UGA was the loudest moment I've ever experienced in Tiger Stadium. People were literally jumping up and over each other, drinks flying.....it was wild.

The Georgia kicker was practicing kicks from the sideline. not the hash marks, but the sideline. and he was making kicks in practice from the sideline which make the goalpost very narrow from that angle.

The Georgia kicker missed during the game from the hashmarks where he has the full on straight angle of the goal posts.

Anyone else remember seeing the Georgia kicker warm up in 2003.

It's crazy how much more white people wore to games even as recently as 13 years ago. Just something I've always noticed about older crowds.
