Remids me a lot of Alvin Harper.

The Worst

Rushing 3 down-linemen... and choosing to drop Alem back in pass coverage on those plays. He's the one guy that actually has even a remote chance of getting to the QB!

Chad jones did not look good. I noticed he wasn't even in the game on a series in the 4th. 3rd and chavis is a reality. I'm such a homer for thinking we could compete for a national title this year.

There's a ton of truth to the saying that games are won in the trenches.

True. Woods played really well last night. If he continues to get double-teamed all year and the rest of the D-line gets beat by man-blocking, it's gonna be a long year.

I was almost begging for 3rd and 4 instead of 3rd and 12. It was like clockwork, like a nightmare

Agreed. They just got tired. This is why I keep saying the TOP was a huge factor. The kept the ball WAY longer than we did and you could tell. They were exhausted. Add in the fact that Locker is a scrambler and can buy time pretty much every play, this is what you get.

I'd like to know how many times Locker completed a pass while staying in the pocket. Not many.

3. JJ can work when the D is in the backfield all night long

JJ has me excited about this season. he had people in his face all night and he didnt make a killer mistake like Lee did last year. he is gonna be a beast for us and im happy we have him. with the weapons we have on offense there is no limit to what JJ can do in our system.

The scary thing to me is the o-line looked horrible. JJ was under pressure all night. The run was not there either.

The d-line for the most part did not put enouph pressure on the Qb. And what the hell was the deal with us not being able to contain the outside. In my view there is no excuse for this. We have way to much speed to let this happen.

In the SEC and football in general the you need a good o-line and d-line to win. If last night was any indacation than we are in big trouble.

Jefferson made some poor throws...he looked average to me...nothing too impressive...and Dickson dropped one pass early...the second one was thrown very far behind him but he did manage to get a hand on it...blame that one on Jefferson.

Chavis pioneered the drop lineman concept up here in Knoxville. You can't go to a bookstore up here without seeing the book.

JJ is the biggest thing about the game. Cutrera won the game, in my opinion. I've bad mouth him so much on this board. Well... Chavis's managing of the defense in the first half was the worst.

i saw downs blow up a couple guys last night. he's going to be good. he came off the ball so damn fast. Alem, looked aweful. Woods was better then expected in my opinion. Our ends couldn't do shite to keep containment.

He played extremely well given poor protection and lack of a dominant running game.

Don't forget Toliver dropped a pass right in his hands on a 3rd and medium that would have been a 1st down early in the game.

The Worst is just the general lack of instinct out there on defense. No football sense whatsoever
