Bama crushed every team they played except for LSU. They CRUSHED them. There were zero close games. Bama was easily, and undebatebly, the second best team. It stinks that LSU has to play Bama again, but the BCS system performed admirably this year.

You are so delusional it is funny. Seriously. You look so stupid right now.

Winning your conference vs FINISHING THIRD in your conference is not the same.

Again: 2011 Wisc/MSU = 2003 LSU/UGA

The logic of a media darling.

As a UA fan if the shoes were reversed I would be pissed. For the same reasons as most LSU fans. Having to a play the same team twice to prove you are the better team. And yes if UA wins they are NC, but they got 2 chances to do it.

The sad part is all the LSU fans that seem to think if the shoes were reversed they would not want the same thing. Or have their coach lobby for it or the fans to defend it. But it is what it is.

Just like Ohio State had to feel in 2007 when their one-loss team had to play a two-loss LSU

Thank you for being honest!

Sorry for laughing at you earlier. Just can't help myself.

No, completely different. As an LSU fan, I know my team's place. Had LSU lost at home with your weak resume, we would be DONE. Finished. No questions asked. We aren't a traditional/entitled/media darling....yet.

I highly doubt Miles would have gotten a week of free air time while his team sat at home doing nothing. Things don't work that way for us podunk schools.

I give you that about Les or LSU getting the love that ESPN shows UA.

Think how bad AU fans feel. They go to the NC game last year and Saban is one of the announcers for the game.

Yes. Thank you.

You do realize MSU/Wisc as well as VT/Clem were rematches due to the fact that they are in separate divisions within their conference, right?

That is why there was a rematch, a la LSU/UGA 2003....

Please tell me this doesn't escape you.

Manipulation? What are you suggesting, some sort of conspiracy? No way. NCAA is 100% above board. It is as clean and innocent as a new born. It cares only about the student athlete and the spirit of healthy, honest competition.

I am sure that the ratings difference between OSU an 'Bama had no influence whatsoever in the final BCS rankings.

I understand that, just using the example that sometimes you have to play a team twice to prove you are the better team. Sometimes it can not be avoided like CCG, and sometimes it happens like this year with a broken system.

Well, they earned their way into the game...

I honestly didn't know Saban was an announcer for the game. I mute my TV when watching college football games.

Ok. Now I'm really sorry for calling you a dumbass earlier. Just examine your analogy of MSU/Wisc this year. It isn't the same.

BTW - I agree with Bama getting in the game. My post history confirms this.

I always find it interesting to see people post nothing but touchdowns in their prediction score. Bama has a great defense, we will be kicking some field goals.

Never before have we ever seen this type of ESPN push to influence a matchup. Ratings cannot be the only reason.

Would be nice but the SEC would force us to share the revenue with everyone unlike the Longhorn Network. The network that brought down the Big 12 and probably hurt OSU getting to NOLA.

The best resume line, IMHO.

It is unfortunate that the two best teams are in the same division of the same conference. It creates an injustice for LSU to have to defeat Bama twice. I personally like the idea of playing the best opponent, and to win both times, especially since the first game was so close.

The BCS MANIPULATION

The bigger the moment, the higher the chances that manipulations will occur. I also believe that there were manipulations on behalf of OK Stas well. The BCS is what is THIS year, and got it right. No1 will remain No1, and that's all I've got to say about that.

This From ESPN...

quote:

BCS system -- There are three scenarios that have always haunted the BCS: (A) a regular season that ends with multiple undefeated teams; (B) a regular season that ends with one unbeaten but multiple one-loss teams, and (C) a split national championship. This year we got B, as well as the first real indication that the BCS, as we know it, might be undergoing major reconstructive surgery in the future. Undefeated LSU made it easy on one side of the BCS championship bracket, but the other side became an awkward, inexact and unfortunate beauty pageant between one-loss Alabama and Oklahoma State. (Minutes after OSU beat OU late Saturday night, an email from the school's sports information office pinged in: Please find attached some key facts on Oklahoma State and why the Cowboys deserve to play in the BCS title game.) And has Stanford coach David Shaw mentioned lately that he doesn't understand why the Cardinal is ranked behind OSU? So we end up with an LSU-Bama rematch and confirmation that the BCS, for all its good intentions, has flaws that can't be fixed -- no matter how many times it goes under the knife.

The BCS MANIPULATION
WEAKEST RESUME: 2007 LSPOO 2 LOSSES 1 TO #23 KENTUCKY AND THE OTHER TO AN UNRANKED ARKY TEAM. AT WHICH TIME YOU JUMPED 5 SPOTS TO GET TO PLAY IN THE BCSNCG SO LETS COMPARE RESUMES YOU IDIOT.

You're right. In '07 we should've just told the BCS that we didn't feel worthy and just given the title to OSU. It amazes me how entitled Bama fans are now. You remind me of my kid when I tell her she can't have ice cream. Bottom line is the only people Bama or Okie state have to blame is themselves, if either team would've manned up and won during the regular season no one would be doubting their credibility. We will put an end to all the crying Jan 9.
