Do all teams move inside when it gets hot. Is Bama and Florida moving inside when it gets hot

It's way better to have some kids go down with heat stroke than to go indoors.

No way! In fact they wear plastic sweat suits at every practice. They learn to play with body temps reaching 108 degrees.

I heard Saban actually put hot coals on the field the other day and had the team scrimmage the last 30 minutes barefoot...it's a damn shame our coach doesn't build toughness like this.

No, that rumor was incorrect. He actually had the school install a lava pit below the field. More cost efficient.

I watched this show on ESPN the other night called Crimson Tide and Saban was working those boys butts off in the heat and yelling at them if they even dared walk on the practice field. Then after practice they all took ice baths to cool their internal temps down which helped them recover for the next days practice quicker. But to answer your question, no, Saban did not have his team inside with a heat index well over 105.

I know we were inside several times this week. It is good to get your team conditioned but some times it is better to have your team stay focused and I think that is when they move indoors. Sometimes it is about learning not just showing how tough you are.

that doesn't seem healthy. I guess unless they waited a little while before getting in, but there's no way they should be going straight from 105 degree heat to an ice bath right away.

I usually just troll the board and post (rarely) in the more rational threads or when some basic questions are raised, but I really appreciate your responses, bringing a rational approach or sarcastic responses to some truly moronic questions/comments,

Thanks

yeah, at 105 I can't tell, if he'd have said 115, I'd have known he was joking. But 105 is reasonable.

For the most part true, but if their temps and humidity match what we have had this summer, from time to time it is equivalent.

besides, doing a bama special in the indoor facility wouldn't have had the same punch as practicing in the stadium and such

That show was a compilation of several days practices. Duh It wasn't all one days continuous practice. It was edited to show just what Saban wanted you to see. And Scoop just busted your ignorant arse.
