The video linked above is embarrassing. Can't the students think of something more creative to say than Suck that Tiger Dick or Arsehole Arsehole (which is why the Rag was banned, right)? The student section is awesome, don't get me wrong - but let's leave the cursing out of it. It's not cool, it's not funny, and it shows a certain level of immaturity that shouldn't be prominently and repeatedly displayed as a representation of the LSU student body.

I like Neck, it sucks that some had to go and ruin it.
Seems like some sort of effort could be made on the broadcaster's behalf to keep it off tv.

How about BANNING THE frickING TV COMPANIES FROM PUTTING CAMERAS WITH MICROPHONES IN THE STUDENTS FACES?
Stay out of the section all together and you will never hear that on tv again! Why is everything so fricking hard to figure out with all the administrative clowns?
What's next, banning singing in church because a camera picks up the sound and it offends atheist? Take the microphone out and all is well!

And for all of you complaining, don't you dare act like you weren't in that section cursing up a storm when the Tigers were getting beat or hazing opposing teams when you were a student! Unless you didn't attend LSU, if so, then GFY because you have no idea what's up.

Damn that video is pretty bad. I don't condone cursing in the cheers, but I don't really know how they're gonna enforce it, banning is the only solution I guess.
I'm sure there is gonna be an article about it in the Reveille or Tiger Weekly asking the students to stop, but that didn't work with "oh we oh" when they tried to bring it back.
Maybe they can just play the beginning of neck and cut it out before the singing part starts?

I suggest that you use the McNeese game and just play The Star Spangled Banner and Alma Mater on rotation. Tell your juveniles that they can look forward to that if they can't keep it clean.

Jesus, everyone who says this is a complete moron.
First of all, the students have just as much of a right, if not more of a right, to attend the games considering THEY GO TO THE frickING SCHOOL. There would be no LSU tigers if there wasn't an actual university that STUDENTS attend. Don't forget that.
Second, taking away the students would demote Tiger Stadium to the level of a PGA tour crowd.

I can understand how LSU feels about this. They're trying to sell themselves on national television, and a group of drunken idiots cast them in a bad light.
There's no need to be screaming that crap in the crowd. Yeah- I was once in that section, but I can tell you that it's gotten a lot worse in recent years.
If they act like stupid kids, treat them that way.
Oh, and if you honestly think there's "no difference" between saying "kick their arse" and "suck that tiger dick" on national television, you had best not be majoring in broadcast journalism.....

And, the responsibility to not act in such a way. Sorry. This cuts both ways. If they are unable to police themselves, then they can cheer from outside. If they ARE able, then I welcome them.
