The Bama game is five Saturdays away. Many things will occur for both teams in the interim. Some will be positive and some will be negative. Focus on the now and see how things look in a month after both teams play three more games.

Anybody remember 2012 when our passing game was dog shite for two months, then came out of nowhere and threw all over Bama for about 300 yards in a game we should have fricking won?

Les remembers.

Bama fans aren't playing defense so who cares what they expect?

It's very simple, Bama is gonna stack the box and make Harris throw the ball. That's it in a nut shell. Can Harris and the receivers get it done, well I think they can.

Bama may have 7 toads in the middle but they are weak out side. We will have success running off tackle, sweeps and QB reads. LF will get some big runs like Chubb did but Les won't wait until late in the game to use him like Richt did Chubb.

I don't care what anyone says this is not a great Bama team. UGA played right into their hand by trying to pass on them. Ole Miss showed they have weak points.

I think they are hoping we'll run into the brick wall all day. and les is certainly capable. but I don't think he will.

oh, for sure we'll run our share of plays into the middle. But we'll be using fournette not only as a workhorse but also as a decoy. same thing with that jet sweep. you have to have faith enough in this staff that we'll challenge the corners a lot, and mix in the passing to be effective.

Bama is going to stack the box

Don't all the SEC teams do this to us since we have proven in previous games we are not yet to full passing proficiently?

Harris needs to put more air on his long throws so Dupre and/or others can go get it instead of his passes being underthrown.

In case you haven't heard the Wishbone has been installed just for Bama. You heard it here first.

I think the game to watch is UT/Bama, and see what kind of success Tennessee has against them running read options. Their personnel is more similar to ours than UGA.

For the record, I like LSU's chances running against Bama. Fournette has the power to deliver the body blows and the speed and explosiveness to get to the edge against them when they clog the middle with those big bodied lineman and LBs.

IDK Kid, because Maybe LSU has NOT done that against them. In FACT, there were a few games that one could argue that Les was trying to many trick plays on them because he thought he had to.

Bottom line is we didn't have a passing game last year, and held our own pretty well. Maybe we won't get those critical drops this year. Also, Bama doesn't have the offense they did last year...

They should be expecting more shotgun read option. That's going to be our bread and butter for that game. They've always had trouble with running QB's, even Jennings last year.

Exactly....the game plan will be pretty much identical to 2011 in Tuscaloosa

It's a pretty good offense. Their QB is starting to come around. He has a lot of talent and it's starting to click for him. Derrick Henry is a beast at RB. They have to usual Bama o-line and their WR's are nothing great but are solid (which is a lot more than you could say about our WR's at this time). It's a typical bama team filled with 4 and 5 star talent, extremely strong in the trenches and great athletes at the skill positions. A lot of posters want to believe they are weak this year, but that is more just wishfull thinking than anything else.

Derrick Henry is an above average running back. Alabama's offense is nothing special. One game against Georgia doesn't change that. Maybe theyve found their identity, but im not buying it yet.
Their o-line has been very inconsistent this year. This season, they dont have a blake sims to hide the inconsistency, nor do they have an amari cooper to hide their qb.
