I hate sugar coating a last second win against a shite team. The early entries killed us last year and will again this year, going into next season. I just don't think Miles is a good enough coach to weather that. It has the possibility to be crippling

That coach who isn't "good enough" had 4 reserve players prepared to take the team 99 yards for the game winner with a freshman center snapping it to and blocking for a freshman qb who wings it to a freshman wr.

I didn't read the whole thread, but watched the video cranked on the stereo. I jacked it when NECK went off after THE play and CBS turns some other track up when STTDB is said! Give a listen, they turn the covert stuff down for the referee call, so you hear it perfect. I hope CBS says no more day games b/c of it! haha

was the pass to Dural run out of the same formation as the earlier pass to Landry on the same drive (Jennings to Landry 2nd & 10 at the LSU 19 w/2:02 left)?
Landry runs down the hash and then toward the sideline...Dural pretty much on a go route.

eta - looks like it is. 3 wides, with Hill & Dickson split in the backfield. Landry runs more inside the hash and circular toward the sideline than earlier in the drive.

Even when Brando said his pass the previous drive was overthrown to Dickson, no the hell it wasn't. Dickson did not have to jump nor contort his body to catch it. It hit him in the hands and he just dropped it. Even the pass to Boone he looked like he didn't even think the ball was coming to him. That was probably because Mett never does throw to him. 6 different players in 7 attempts, receivers had to love seeing that. The only position he didn't throw to was the FB and he would have had he gone out for a pass.

While Mett was still on the field, I looked around and said we are about to find out about our 2014 offense. After watching Jennings handle himself and the team, I feel good about starting a young qb! Imagine how good he will get!

I've been saying it since his HS film and spring game...he has two attributes you can't coach: accuracy and pocket awareness. I don't care what anyone says...you either have accuracy or you don't. You can coach it and improve a little but you will never just have "it" if you don't already. Jennings has wheels but his pocket awareness is the most impressive thing to me with his composure.
