Retyped from the advocate.

quote:

Thank You Jarrett Lee!

We, the faithful fans of the LSU fighting Tigers, will never forget you and the significant contributions you made to us, to you teammates, to your team and to Louisiana State University.

You stepped up with a steady hand as quarterback this past year to lead your teammates through adversity, off-the-field turmoil, and controversy on the way to a 9-0 run as a starter.

Your play set the table for one of the greatest regular season records in LSU history. The team won 12 games, eight over "top 25" ranked teams (five of those "away") then crushed Georgia for the SEC Conference Title and a record 13-win season.

As fans, we admired the class and patience you projected as your playing time dwindled and then vanished. Of course, we were devastated by the bitter Alabama defeat in the BCS Championship Game, and many wondered if you might have had success if called upon.

But you once made a statement about being a better person for simply having played at LSU, staying patient and always being prepared.

Certainly, you have had an impact on "LSU" Tiger Fans," and perhaps, by example, you have made us better people also.

We all wish you the best, whether it is a possible football career or any other endeavor you undertake:
Louisiana LSU Fans!

It's making a statement, not advertising.

Isn't that what America is about?
Freedom to speech?

Really, right?

Can somebody make a new thread asking for a photo of the ad? I would do it but I think mine would get whacked and I might get banned for asking.

Yep, and showing your arse. Unless, of course, you do it anonymously.

It's not "classy" though.

The world has truly gone nuts when people call something like this classless.

Ad is not extremely stupid unless you are tired of being reminded of how shitty Miles is, or you don't like Lee at all.

You wouldn't happen to have a phone camera and a copy of the ad in front of you, would you?

Or is the whole ad just words?

Mostly words with a foam finger in the upper right corner and a football with "Thank you!" on it in the lower left corner.

Our fanbase will not be happy until they destroy what has been built to this point- FACT

This is BS. This fanbase is feed up with a coach that dosnt help his team, but the FACT that they can win inspite of him.

If I wasn't a cheap bastard that didn't have a 4 year old phone that can't take decent pictures, I would indulge you.

Alas, all the hopes and dreams of Jarrett Lee Nation must rest on the shoulders of another.

Or unless you want to isult the other 84 players on the team that helped as well

Why? Were any of them humiliated like Lee? Were all of them shite on by their coach?
Many of them got what they wanted: JJ returned as the starter. Anyone who thinks there wasn't some dissension on the team is FOS.

Lee wasn't even thrown a bone by Miles. It's funny that in Lee led blowouts, JJ got playing time early and often. On the other hand, that never occurred for Jarrett.
Miles was a stupid, stubborn douche nozzle with Lee. Sugar coat it if you like, but Miles made his choice and hitched the team to JJ's wagon. It failed in the ultimate game.

Absolutely. Miles totally f***ed JL, and I personally believe his refusal to play Lee in the Arkansas, Georgia and NCG will adversely affect recruiting for years to come. Les is either a terrible judge of talent or plays extreme favoritism. If you won't pull a qb after such an abysmal offensive performance, you are just a stubborn arse.

Couldn't agree more, Miles hitched the last part of the LSU season to Jordan Jefferson and the fanbase and the nation saw JJ win the Oscar for the worst performance as a Quarterback in two Championship games. Les Miles Coach of the Year to Coach DUFUS in one game, priceless!!!!!!!

Miles didn't play Lee because he knew he would have been eaten up by the Bama defense

Kind of like JJ was the entire time? I mean he was really lighting shite up leading us to to somewhere near our own 40 yard line all game.

But I think there was about a 1% chance it would have made a difference

Why not take a 1/100 chance of pulling it off and completing the greatest season in college football history? Or you can look around with a constipated look like Miles did and make NO changes until you eventually shite the bed...which is what Miles did.
