I'm sure I was up in the student section, it was my freshman year at LSU,. My brother was in TGBFT at the time.

Lc. Yes LSu recruited him so did bama and tulane..
He started in hs as a freshman and wanted to go somewhere he would play as a freshman....which is why he didnt go to Alabama
LSU did sign two or three of his teammate that year....LSU did also miss on bobby Hebert and Tommy Wilcox but did get robbie mafhouz and Alan Risher
He did piss of a lot of tulane folks by calling tulane a bunch of losers

Fourcade and I have a good mutual friend and I run in to him occasionally. He tells the story of his recruitment. Coach Mac and OC Barry Wilson went to his house to convince him to go to LSU. Coach Mac said " John, we really want you here but I have to be honest. We already have two really good QB's (Ensminger and Woodley I believe) and it may be two years until you see the field." When he said this, Barry Wilson almost fell off the sofa. That was the end of that.
