WTF, why would they expect him to pay it. We are the ones pursueing him, not the other way around. Why would he not expect a signicficant raise and LSU to buy out his contract if we are the ones desperate for him. He has a good job at a good school with a very good contract. It is up to us to make it lucrative to him. He isn't the desperate one.

Again I am not the source or could interpret it. Just passing on what I was told. Hesitate to have posted it in case worlds collide and les gets an extension and I look like an arse. Then I have issues with my "source" lol.

NOne of this makes any sense, so I find any of this hard to believe. We wouldn't have done all this if Jimbo wasn't already locked up. So I have to believe these rumours to be false.

Again i can't speculate or know how this plays in negotiations. Could be part of whole package. Was told he wants out due to divorce. That is all I was told. I'm not part of conversations.

The AD has absolutely no power here. The boosters control the purse strings, and they assured the hesitant boosters that Jimbo would come. Aleva followed along, not wanting to piss them off, as did the local money. Whaddya know, Jimbo isn't coming, and now they are all figuring out what to do after opening this can of worms.
