Tailgating traditions at LSU definitely need a change.

As a student here, I firmly believe that LSU's football tailgating traditions are disrespectful, insubordinate, and are a total detriment to the reputation of the university. LSU is an academic institution first. The fact that the students here (especially those of Greek Life) put themselves on display making fools of themselves and binge drinking on the parade grounds is appalling, especially because tailgating seems to be what this university is most known for on a national scale. Mari Fuentes- Martin has done a phenomenal job in her efforts to improve the reputation of this university, and she should not be looked down upon for trying to make things better around here. Long live Mari!

As a 20+ year season ticket holder, I don't really give a shite about the opinion of a student who has been at the school for about 15 minutes, and is statistically unlikely to return and contribute after graduating.
