What sorts of efforts did you put forth to procure tickets for the Auburn game?

I'm hoping the weather for the Furman game will be raining all day with the temp in the 40's. I just love to see all the bitching around here.

I agree. When I went to home games as a student if it rained we just partied that much harder. For example, 2004 home opener vs Oregon St. it rained cats and dogs, game was delayed, ppl started streaking out onto the field, total madness. The game became an OT thriller and was packed from start to finish.
Now everyone is worried about getting their new I-phones wet. Tiger Stadium sure ain't what it used to be. Students need to step it up. Once the student section abandons ship the rest of the fans seem to follow suit and the whole stadium deflates. That's no good.
However the stadium was not completely empty and to those who DID stay the entire game I salute you. You are the kind of fan Tiger Stadium is meant for.

A game like the Auburn one is sold out, so those of us who don't have season tickets make plans to watch somewhere else... then you see the stadium half empty on TV. It's maddening.

Those who defend leaving at half time by saying that tickets were plentiful are f.o.s. Sell your stuff ahead of time if you have no desire to stay for the whole game.

Tickets were everywhere. Mine were free, and I could have gotten at least 20 more.

Here's the deal. Some of you people can post all the that you want, but the bottom line is that the OP is right. Our fanbase is so entitled at times, it is ridiculous. Many fans would give anything to have an experience like Tiger Stadium, and most of our fans just see it as another Saturday in September. Very frustrating for someone who lives out of state and has to watch all this happen from afar.

Let me take it that you didn't go to Oregon State in 04?

TLDR. If we played our hardest for 60 minutes more people would stay. Instead we get a lead, call off the dogs, and run the clock out with a vanilla offense. It's hard to blame someone for leaving early against shitty teams when we have the game in hand and just run up the middle every play. It's boring.

I stayed the whole game. However, quit bitching about people leaving when they are soaked to the bone and it is 21-0 at the half.

the weather was exactly as forecast. They should have sold their tickets and stayed home.

And what about the ones that were still filing out when Auburn was driving on us with 5 minutes left only down by two scores? What's their excuse?

We had more yards in the 2nd half. So come up with something better.

This past Saturday was shocking, to say the least. Yes, the weather was not ideal.

You need to look up the definition of ideal. I was soaked from head to toe, cold, and we had the game well in hand when I left in the late fourth quarter.

Quit finding something to bitch about. When we play UF in a few weeks, we will have the place rocking with a packed house (if it is not raining the entire day).

I agree. LSU fans should see it through to the end. All teams feed off the electricity of their fans...our team is no different.

If there is any bitching to do about staying the whole game, it should be directed toward the student section. I never left one minute before the end of the game when I was a student.

Saturday had a 2/3 full student section to begin with and about 1/3 full after the third quarter.

who exactly are you supposed to sell it to? Especially when I saw at least 80 people holding up at least 2 tickets outside the gates. Everyone knows you can get tickets if you just go and look, especially when the weather's bad...
and yes I stayed the whole game, but totally understand the people who left, because I was so fricking cold
