I'll be honest...I didn't read any of that. Not because it was too long, but because I'm tired of the whining about the crowd.

I can't wait for LSU football season, and I try to be one of the first ones into the stadium each week and am pissed when ushers want to run me out at the end of games. I only get to do this 7 or 8 times a year, so I want to make my time count.

But that's me.

The thing is, I'm not everyone's boss. Unlike most folks, I just don't have the desire to tell everyone else what they ought to do. I'd like fans to stay, but the truth is that when it counts, Tiger Stadium is just as ferocious as it ever was. When it counts. when it doesn't, it isn;t...and in 2013 when the tailgate features more comfort, better food and a large screen HD TV it's not all that crazy to see why more casual fans than myself would be happy to leave when they feel the game is no longer in doubt, regardless of the time left on the clock. As far as I'm concerned, they have that right to do that. I don't, but then I choose to stay.

My suggestion would be rather than telling fans to stay, suggest they be as engaged as possible when they are still there and it matters. That way when it matters the stadium will be rocking, and when it doesn't less interested fans can leave making it easier for you and I to leave campus when we leave with the clock at 00:00.

Agreed! You hit the nail on the head. Our team needed some fan support in the 3rd and 4th quarters because Auburn was making a come back. They began to get pressure on Mett and sacked him several times, they were beginning to slow down the run game and they put together some humiliating offensive drives. LSU needed the fans to stay and encourage the fight but there was no one left to do it and it was almost a very embarrassing come back. Its seems that many don't realize how close Auburn came to coming all the way back on us, as the score does not indicate how close it really was.

I want to challenge every fan in attendance for the rest of the season to support our team to the finish. Our players deserve to play in front of a packed house. They expect to run out of the tunnel to be welcomed by a sea of purple and gold 93,000 strong. More importantly, they expect us to have their backs from the opening kick off until the 4th quarter clock hits triple zeros. As Coach Miles said last season, “Tiger Stadium is truly a place where opponent’s dreams come to die”. Let’s keep it that way.
Sorry to say, but the Tacky Stadium crowd demographics have changed in the last few years. Too many die hards have been "Priced Out" and they've been replaced with "Cheesers" (Wine and Cheese crowd) with money that could care less about LSU football. They're just there for the party and to see and be seen. Too many Corporate tickets being given out as well. That's it in a nut shell.

Hey, maybe if the GBFTL could put on a halftime show worth watching, (Not the band members fault) the "Cheesers" would at least stay until sometime in the third quarter.

Amazing how the people who give no monetary support to the university think they have a right to talk trash about the ones who do. You can bitch all you want about the "corporates" leaving the game and that you have been priced out. Most of these corporates give more money to LSU athletics in a year than you give through buying merchandise in a lifetime. The best part is that LSU has one of the cheapest season tickets rates in the SEC. You wanted a yearly contender, a team you could be happy to watch, well its those corporate ticket holders that have gotten them there. I stayed till the start of the 4th quarter because I was soaked from tailgating since 10 a.m. and was tired of watching the same old bull crap Les Miles philosophy. The man has never learned from any of his faults. You never take the foot of the petal when all cylinders are firing. The offense hole he decided to go into with a 21 point lead was a joke. If Auburn recovers the onside kick, all of you that think the game wasn't close are eating your words because Auburn made that defense look pedestrian the whole 4th quarter with a first year QB and a small RB crew, if you don't believe me go look at the stats. Our corners are the sore spot on this team and with Murray, McCarron and Manziel to come they may be in real trouble. Chevis or Miles need to be ashamed of their prevent crap. This defense has a lot of growing up to do in a week. I sure as hell hope what we saw in the first half is our true defense. If its what we saw in the 2nd half then we are in for a world of hurt.
