Sugar bowl doesn't have a choice

Highest ranked SEc team is automatic (second highest ranked if Bama in playoff)

Will be an auburn LSU battle and could go either way who is ranked higher

The committee won't drop Auburn below LSU.

Auburn will go.

really is stupid that FLA will get penalized for playing in the SECC.

I'd be a hypocrite not to agree.

The only extenuating circumstance is LSU getting fricked for losing to Bama so closely.

You're probably right, but the "new season" factor might be discussed, as well as both having recent games vs Bama. And LSU may get an "O" surge, seriously lol

Let me ask you... Who is the better team right now? Auburn or LSU?

I'm biased obviously but I think most would agree LSU is the better team.

Exactly. LSU is the better team, so it's certainly possible the committee agrees

Maybe, maybe not, but definitely possible

The SEC will have four 4 loss teams after next week. With nothing to gain, I guarantee you the Sugar Bowl committee will have a little say with the playoff committee to get the team they want in ranked the highest. I think Auburn gets in but LSU may have a shot b/c they will fill the seats.

It's automatic to sugar. There is no committee other than the CFB ranking committee

Highest ranked sec team goes to Sugar automatically, #2 if champ in playoff

We don't deserve the Sugar nor do I want it. I want coach O to have to scrape & claw to build this team to greatness.

No shite. I'm saying I guarantee you that the Sugar Bowl committee will be in discussions with the CFP committee to get the team they want in the Sugar Bowl to be the highest ranked SEC team after Bama. The ranking is meaningless besides determining who plays in the Sugar. Whichever team it is will be ranked no higher than 20 most likely.

LSU should never move ahead of a team that beat them head to head if they have the same number of loses. Honestly, LSU should have a permanent -3 spots in the poll for being stupid enough to hire Orgeron.

It's sad how equal the sec has become minus Alabama. Basically any of us can beat each other with no consistency or rhyme or reason. So you end up with everyone with 4 losses against each other.

Which brings me to my outrage of LSU. It isn't that they lost any games. It's HOW they lost those games. The Bama game was the only game I didn't feel like we should have won. Every other game we sucked more than the team we played. We couldn't get out of the way of ourselves to rise above our adversary. At this point, I don't care which bowl it is. I feel like we earned a much lower bowl than Sugar, but who knows because of how topsy turvy the conference is right now.

Yall are forgetting the tiebreaker with A&M. Aggy beat Auburn, Auburn beat us, we beat Aggy. Head to head at this point is irrelevant. It comes down to rankings, and I hope we did enough on Thursday night to convince the committee to put us ahead of them. Hopefully the Sugar bowl people would give us a little nudge because we'd pack the place for LF's sendoff and the beginning of "Generation O"

Should not be overlooked, but margin of defeat matters. If all these schools are measured, none have impressive resumes. But, LSU's losses are most respectable - @ No 5 Wisconsin 16-14, @ No. 13 Auburn 18-14, vs. No. 1 BAMA 10-0, and vs. No. 14 Florida 16-10. Literally, one play, one second, one yard from being 10-1.
