if more than 50,000 ticket holders have requested tickets i think its safe to say about 50,000 will acquire tickets one way or another and according to the email I got 12,000 tickets are being allotted to students so roughly 60,0000 or 3/4ths of the stadium will be LSU fan

LSU was alloted 37k tickets. I'm not sure how many were alloted to students, but they don't generally seperate the two amounts. 37k is likely the aggregate amount, and if it is, students aren't getting 12k. Do you have that email to post that stated this?

Jerry has to see the potential and sneek in another 10k seats. He likes $$$ doesn't he

Do you really think Oregon is going to bring another 50k people? Not so much.

And just think, a couple of months ago there were people on here saying there would only be 30,000 - 40,000 LSU fans make the game. Gonna be a fun game.

A lot...a lot of season ticket holders bought tickets just in case they decide to go and with the idea that they will just sell if they don't go since they think it will have a high ticket resell value. A lot of season ticket holders bought tickets just with the intent to resell.

I think LSU could/will have 45k fans show up, but you have to remember Oregon didn't even sell 10k seats. That still leaves a lot of seats for non fans.

I somehow got that number stuck in my head and I tried to find out where i saw it but I can't find it anywhere so i retract my post.

That post was just optimism on my part. I fully expect at least 50k LSU fans in the stadium.

Whether or not I get tickets I will be going that is for sure. I have an in with the granddaughter of the founder of the Cotton Bowl so I might get her box seats though
