i dont think winning is gonna make him go further away from his philosophy. He'll probably squeeze tighter.

well if he felt he was passed over for Crowton he had to feel passed over for Krags

This is why I doubt he will put his name in the hat again

This is tru. It works if you got a strong OLine, and the risk of turnovers is very low.

So its almost like one or the other with Miles.

Just makes for some at times when it looks like we got the athletes to air it out at least balanced

Coach Stud might have to go to OSU. Meyer got him to Bowling Green and gave him his big break. That's how it works in coaching.

The real interesting part is Herbstreit. He would only be the QB coach, so not that much pressure initially. He would instantly be OSU's best recruiter ever.

yeah nothing sells to midwest moms and dads like a guy coming into their house with 10 lbs of hair gel, a shite load of makeup on and tanning bed rings around his eyes.

Bet we see more passing next year. We still have only average (at best) qb play.

I just couldn't take this guy serious if I was a recruit. Someone you have watched on ESPN for the last ____ years.

Maybe its because i dont take ESPN serious Period

I just can't see Herbie letting go of the camera. I really don't think he can handle not being the big guy on espn

We shall see, one can only hope.

I believe We will see how Randall has progressed at QB and mix him in as our option and running threat.

The OC coaches the OL at LSU. This happens all the time.

Chavis coaches the linebackers.

Miles was an offensive lineman as a player and coached OLine for 13 seasons.

Lol if anybody thinks Stud is going anywhere. Miles has found his man- that will never argue against his strategy.

We're 10-0 and pounding the rock in the 2 hole (don't google that) 28 times a game. Miles will never ever deviate from that ever again. He's winning, God Bless em, let's just don't pretend like we're doing it being some offensive geniuses.

I suspect there's truth in the Meyer deal, he's wanted to get back home for some time according to multiple reports over the years. I believe this deal has been simmering for a while now and is the only reason he ain't headed to Penn State. On the other people listed, I think it's more of a "wish list" than anything else. I'd honestly be surprised if Stud's head got turned with the embarassment of riches he has in talent @ LSU to work with. If it comes down to money and LSU wants him, they'll pony up.

Herbie on coaching

quote:

"My dad coached before I was born with Woody (Hayes) and Bo (Schembechler) and all that," says Herbstreit

quote:

See, he came up in the cradle of coaches, he was next in line behind Bo. And then my dad decided he needed to make more money."

quote:

I'll keep doing this (ESPN College Gameday) as long as they'll have me, but if a big time college coach asked me to be his quarterbacks coach and eventually be his offensive coordinator, it would be an interesting situation to deal with."

quote:

"If I left (the show) I would want to go coach," Herbstreit says, "I'd want to be a high school coach at a program where it really mattered or I've talked with Urban (Meyer) about if he gets back into coaching being a quarterbacks coach and eventually an offensive coordinator for him."

quote:

Later Herbstreit's best friend, Deron Brown, is asked if he could see Herbstreit back coaching quarterbacks at their alma mater one day. "I'm not touching that," he says, "but I'll tell you this, I hope Urban Meyer takes the job at Ohio State."

because he has no OC experience and has done a below average job as passing game coordinator, recruiter and wr coach? Sure, why not?!

gotta agree with Max here. Billy G has likely climbed as high as he should up the coaching ladder.

Is Herbie going to break this news story? We know how the old one turned out.

If Stud leaves, I want Bama's OC after Saban jumps to Penn St. I would love to get Josh Henson back. Billy Gonzales can go look for an OC job.
