this is all you need:

1 coach who is a crying idiot, who seems to take one of the most talented teams in the country every year and lose 2-3 games. A coach who runs the ball inside the five, with no timeouts and less than 10 seconds on the clock only to lose the game. A CLASSLESS coach who gets an intentional unsportsman like conduct penalty. A coach who fails to realize that there is not a rule that says you have to win you conference to play for the MNC, it is just that NOBODY outside of Georgia thought they were worthy of doing so.

I tend to believe that the gap in average strength is pretty small across major D-1 schools now-a-days... but the number of guys benching over 400 pounds at LSU last year was in the 70s (per Tommy Moffit).

I remember seeing our stats somewhere. I recall that they were insane numbers too

Didn't Les Miles do this last year and in 2006. Dumb statement.

Post the number of LSU players with BCS Championship rings. Then tell them we do not confuse Olympic Weight training with winning football games.

If you think he didn't "realize" that, you're dumb. If you think he was just doing it to placate the fan base and the boosters, because he knew he had to and if he didnt' do it, they would say he didn't support his team, you're smart.

That is irrelevant, he has to support his team, Miles would do the same thing ("we didn't lose in regulation").

Tell them that their O-line is going to crap themselves once they realize what they're up against.

It was classless arrogant and stupid. All the players whoweren't on the feild at the time of the play could and should have been ejected along with him. Thats why I hate the likes of UGA and USC(see flips in the endzone) NO CLASS

We might agree to disagree here, but just b/c it is brilliant doesn't mean it is classless. Brilliant would have been a florida player starting a fight so by SEC rules the officials would have had no choice but to eject anybody who left the bench. Classless, yet brilliant.

the difference here is that he continued to harp this point AFTER the selection was done. It was over and decided, and he continued to press the issue. If you think Miles would have done the same, why did we not hear it in '06? That year most of the country agreed that LSU was scary, and nobody really wanted to face them. They finished 3rd in country w/o making the SECC, very similair to UGA, yet no national whine sessions took place.

How was LSU in '06 the same as Georgia in '07?

LSU finished with two regular season losses in '06 while the teams that were ahead of them playing for the national title finished undefeated (Ohio State) and with only one regular season loss (Florida).

In '07, Georgia finished the regular season with the exact same number of losses as LSU.

About the only similarities I see between LSU '06 and Georgia '07 was the fact that neither team played in the SECCG. LSU had no room to argue in '06 because they had lost more games than both Florida and Ohio State. At least Georgia had the same record as LSU when the regular season was over and done with last year.

Anyway...just wanted to point that out. Carry on.

No mention of the "you can't see me" done by LSU all the time? Don't be such a hypocrite

i did not say the same, i said similair. there were indeed differences. BUT LSU's determining loss was to #2 ranked Florida, not Tennesee (i can't rememebr their ranking) so points either way.

If the regular season alone determined the participants in the BCS Championship, things would have been different in ....let's see of the top of my head '01, '02, '03, '04, '05, '06 07. I don't see the relevance here.

again, The SECCG helps sometimes; LSU in '03 and '07, and it hurts somtimes UT in '01, but either way it should be and is considered when making these descisions. The "regular season only" debate doesn't hold much water in my boat.
