"Four people were injured in the scuffle, none of them players, and one person's injuries were serious enough that two players could face felony battery charges, Sgt. Don Stone with BRPD said."

WAFB recent post.

There have been no articles, anywhere that have said this.

I don't beleive I embarrased myself at all. I think the majority of posters here either refuse to see reality or just plain ignore it.

No shite. I'm reading that, while I'm listening to Don Stone on WWL saying there is a 99% chance there will be battery charges.

Who knows what's going to happen? Nobody.

It's in the fricking tweet from WAFB. The attorney doesn't think there will be charges filed.

I can only surmise by your taking every opportunity to place blame and coming condemnation on the football players with absolutely no proven evidence that you wanted to play football and didn't make it. If your approach was even handed and took a "wait for the facts and investigation" tack NO ONE would blame you. But you're not taking that approach and this is why people think you are an a-hole.

"BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Investigators met with four LSU football players recently implicated in a fight.

The Baton Rouge Police Department met with Jordan Jefferson, Jarvis Landry, Josh Johns, Chris Davenport and the attorney for the players Tuesday morning.

Attorney Nathan Fisher said no charges have been filed against any of the players at this point.

He added all four LSU players cried after realizing they are now in a different and unflattering spotlight.

Sgt. Don Stone with BRPD confirmed there is video of the fight, but it is limited.

He gave no further details.

The meeting took place at the Baton Rouge Police Department Violent Crimes Unit, which is located within the Louisiana State Police Headquarters.

The mother of Josh Johns was seen enter the building while the meeting was happening.

Police also said the four players have not been charged with any criminal offense.

The players are implicated as being involved in the incident outside Shady's, a bar near campus, early Friday morning. Four people were injured."

Fisher said also that he did not think there will be any.

WAFB has updated it's article to remove the supposed quote from Fisher saying he does not expect charges to be filed.

The times Pic/nola.com says this:

quote:

"There were no charges promised and no charges not promised," Fisher said. "After today, I think they have some more investigating to do."

Didn't place any blame whatsoever. Just said that you don't get to where JJ is (or the other players for that matter) without having SOME LEVEL OF INVOLVEMENT in the situation. I hope that they were legally justified in defending themselves if that's what went down. But the fact remains, they were involved.

that you wanted to play football and didn't make it.

A completely baseless and illogical rationalization with not factual backing.

quote:

If your approach was even handed and took a "wait for the facts and investigation" tack NO ONE would blame you

That is my stance. Just saying they were involved. Google the definition of involved. Not guilt placed whatsoever.

quote:

But you're not taking that approach and this is why people think you are an a-hole.

Where was I called an a-hole?

The point of this thread was that people are making statements that have not been validated by any media outlet.

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - It doesn't appear any charges are ready to be filed against the four LSU players implicated in a fight outside a bar early Friday morning.

1:04pm. That could change but that is the latest.
