Maybe that last stat is a RESULT of the uneven scheduling.

[quote]losing record vs top 10 teams over a 5 year span [/quote

Only because 08 and 09 are included and the illegitmate 2011 fake title game. so, really 6-6 including the shite seasons of 08 and 09. No defense in 08 and chavis 1st year in 09.

I think the first ones are cause for the last one. At least to a degree.

When you play such a difficult schedule you're bound to lose a game more often than if you don't play a tough one.

If you play 3 top 10 teams in a row vs playing the same 3 teams but spread out with cushion in between...

Exactly why TAM was able to beat Alabama last year. Had they played them any other weekend... no chance. But the week after they almost got beat by us in a very hard fought game, opportunity time.

i can't see that that it does really? it's a couple game difference. That could be the difference in a home game vs an away game. that stat tells me nothing.

the fact that we have played uga/uf 17 teams since 1999 is way bigger than anything up there imo

The other part of it though is it seems we've played 13 top 10 games sine '07 and they've played 12. Not as big of a difference as I would have thought.

(Don't get me wrong. I totally agree we are getting screwed in conference scheduling. That's pretty clear. It's just that particular stat doesn't really help our argument. Of course it could be that their "top 10" teams were really overrated out of conference teams but on it's face the stat doesn't support our argument).

This is what the media and everyone else should really take a look at. Especially since the SEC made this "unique" schedule for only this year.

So, you're telling me there was no way to make a one yr only schedule more even than this?

Bama 1-15 LSU 14-2

Oh, and doesn't Bama have byes before both LSU and A&M?

fake title game in which we got steamrolled

Why shouldnt we count 08 and 09? If Saban had "no offense" for two years and lost a boatload of games, would that not count against him?

Our schedule is harder than Bama's and Bama has been a better team than LSU since 08. These are not difficult things to understand.

it's easier to go 8-4 in 12 games when you play 2-3 tough games a year rather than 5-7.

sure that's their record vs sec top 10 opps. what they probably didn't show you is that LSU probably plays more SEC opp's ranked 11-25 than bama.

my brain doesn't work well enough to remember how many of lsu's 7 L's and bama's 4 are each other.

also, doesn't it seem like we lose 1 or 2 really important people to injury in the fla game every year?

No, you are not. I don't watch them anymore either. Only for LSU and Saints games.

Things would be different if these two things hadnt worked out for the Gumps.

Everyone loses and it allows them to play LSU twice in the same season after losing to them at home.

A&M and LSU do not play Florida last yr.

Just checking to see if ya'll interpret this the same way I do:

"Since 2007"....So this includes the 2008 season on correct? Not the 2007 season? Because looking at the schedules, I'm not coming up with 6-7 or 8-4

They don't really love Alabama. They wanted the mulligan to blow up the system.

That graphic is pretty good.

Does it include sec championship games? Cus that would be a diff. Weve been to 2, bana 3, and aub 1 since then. Getting to 3 with an easier schedule than aub, and lsu. With bama going 2-1 lsu 2-0 and aub 1-0.

Also a few of our losses have come at the hands of ranked uf and uga teams in the regular season, the teans we play more often than bama and has been the best 2 eastern teans in that same time spand.

So that last stat means nothing.

Either way, get UF off our schedule. I dont care if they are as good as kentucky, just rotate the damn teams like the nfl does and every other conference does.

Ya'll help me out here. I'm trying to figure out these records.

Since 2007 vs. Top 10 SEC Opp

LSU: 6-7
Alabama: 8-4

LSU
2008
#10 Auburn W (1-0)
#7 UGA L (1-1)
#1 Bama L (1-2)

2009
#1 Florida L (1-3)
#3 Bama L (1-4)

2010
#4 Auburn L (1-5)
#6 Bama W (2-5)

2011:
#2 Bama W (3-5)
#3 Arkansas W (4-5)

#2 Bama L (4-6)

2012

#10 Florida L (4-7)
#3 South Carolina W (5-7)
#1 Bama L (5-8)

I'm not certain if the championship counts since it wasn't a regular season game. If we leave that out the record is 5-7? Where am I missing a win?

Bama:

2008
W #3 UGA (1-0)
L #4 Florida (1-1)

2009
W #9 LSU (2-1)
W #1 Florida (3-1)

2010
W #10 Arkansas (4-1)
W #7 Florida (5-1)
L #10 LSU (5-2)
L #2 Auburn (5-3)

2011
L #1 LSU (5-4)
w #1 LSU (6-4)

2012
W #5 LSU (7-4)
W #3 UGA (8-4)

So I get 8-4 here but that has to include the championship against LSU. I don't follow the numbers here.
