at this point, we can't argue about how inconsistent the passing game has been, so i can see why people are skeptical, but florida's qb is horrible, yet they were able to come out with a 10 point win.
It was a 3 point win on our first game of the season and JFF's first ever game in college.

They all picked South Carolina last week

And that pick made sense, although I picked LSU. SC presented match-up problems with a great D-line and outstanding pass rush against a make-shift LSU O-line wracked by injuries.
The match-up problems for this game are for TAMU to worry about. LSU's in good shape here.

my mistake, i watched the whole game, and remember florida dominating the second half, i was thinking it was more than a 3 point win, i should have checked the score before posting that. either way, driskel is terrible, yet florida socred 20 points, i don't see any reason why LSU can't score in the high 20s in this game.

Are you aware La Tech has a good QB that can complete a forward pass, unlike Mettenberger?
i take it you haven't watched LSU very much this season?

This is hilarious. Mett should light that piss poor pass defense up. #112 in pass defense in the country

A.D.D 101, if you're going to talk shite, you can at least post the correct score (20-17).

No way A&M should win this game but give them two more years of recruiting. Enjoy while out can.
You better do very well considering we will have blockbuster classes the next two years.
If LSU continues the improvement from last week, they win. If they turn the ball over and have stupid penalties, they lose.

I think this is a bad match-up for A&M. Manziel likes to spend time in the pocket and then scramble around. At times this year LSU's D has seemd a little soft, but speed is not their problem. I do not think Johnny Football is going to have mush success at all.
On the other side of the ball, our Offensive Line has been up and down. We have had several injuries, and even when not hurt, some of the supposed starters have looked like crap. Against Florida we were useless. Most of Mett's problems stem from the fact that since the line could not block, we could only run 2 recciever routes and no one has been open. Add to that the fact that they were not run blocking well either. Last saturday our young guys played very well against a good D-line. I hope we found a combination that works. If we have, then we will just keep getting better and better all year

Who is Stewart Mandel?
A$M beat writer?
A$M beat writer?

Guess he forgot that A&M needed every second to beat a team with the 119th ranked defense in the country.
The only thing his picks are good for is to print them out and save them for when you run out of toilet paper.

Wow! This guy obviously missed the LSU vs USCe game on TV last Sat. night. LSU dominated the game on both offense and defense. USC had 3 decent plays the entire night: interception, punt return, and long pass to TE to set up the TD. They scored TD's on all 3 of their red zone efforts. THAT WAS IT....
Meanwhile on the other side of the football LSU passed and ran at will. I will give USC credit on their pass coverage - it was very, very good. However, we missed a FG, missed potential TD pass to Landry, and kicked 3 FG's instead of getting 3 TD's very deep in the red zone.
Final score could have very easily been LSU 42 USC 21. That's doubling up on your opponent and that opponent was ranked #3 in the country! I expect more of the same (if not worse) against ATM.
As a caveat keep in mind that LSU has played against some of the best mobile QB's in the country already. They will be ready for Mr. Football on Sat. morning. LSU 48 A&M 13.
Geaux Tigers!

aggiegreen- how long was aTm in the B-12? How many conference championships did they win? How many old SWC championships did they win. You left a weak conference with what accomplishments? To join the best conference in college football. aTm may win saturday, any team can be beaten on any given day. With that said, you may compete in the SEC, but don't think the aggies are coming into the SEC and dominate. aTm better learn to play more consistent defense.
Posted on 10/18/12 at 11:52 pm to LSUFAN2
They left a weak conference as a weak team. Our D is too good to give up shite against this team. Even if our offense doesn't play that great, we still win

Wasn't Mandel the one who last year guaranteed Arkansas would finish at least 10 spots ahead of LSU in the final BCS standings?
Posted on 10/19/12 at 1:56 am to SpookeyTiger
Lsufan2 did you read my post? Nowhere did I say aggies would dominate. I clearly said they should lose saturday but after two years of recruiting sec players they would compete. Never said dominate. If Texas continues to spiral, that will be the like winning the lottery for the aggies. You should pull hard for Baylor on Saturday.

Mike Linebacker:
Mike, the on thing I take exception with is that we dominated against SC. On D, we did. On O, we blocked better but I would not consider our last game domination. I am like you and hope LSU will pull things together on O and gel. If our D plays like it has and our O gets consitent, we can dominate! Our WR's caught the ball better but not LSU quality as in the past. Let's hope that will happen.
Last note is that we have to keep Johnny in the pocket and then sack his arse!

Look, one of two things will happen. Either LSU finally woke up and is putting things together finally and will come in ready to dominate again (in which case we will win) or LSU continues to be the inconsistent team that they have been for the first half of the season, starts slow, never gets in rhythm offensively and gives up a big play or two on defense due to lost focus (in which case we will lose).

Mr aggiegreen,
You may not have said you will dominate but shown above IS what you said (even though you cannot spell-check). We will enjoy it NOW and in 2 YEARS...
