Wow. Really? So what had Miles proven when we hired him? What had Saban proven when we hired him? What had any coach we have ever hired proven when we hired them? Are you a Herman guy? What the hell has he proven? What coach out there has proven what you think needs to be proven to qualify to be LSU's new coach?

All of the above you mentioned were consistent winners you dumb frick. Miles possible being the outlier.

Really? What is expected from LSU football you entitled little bitch?

Winning consistently. Wtf do you even mean? Do you not have expectations? I love O but not as our next HC. I'm a little bitch bc you don't agree with me? Wow, you are what's wrong with our fan base

With his impressive resume' as big time college assistant coach and OC before 2002 really respected him for taking West Monroe wide receivers' coach job that year to be where his son was playing.

Dude, this is your comment "until they can consistently keep a top program at a championship level. Neither have in the past and I just don't see it changing."
None of the past Tiger Coaches mentioned met your demands before coming here.
O and Enslinger will recruit better than anyone new coming in, too. Just let it play out before you kill the idea. By the end of the season they just might be the 2 that WOULD meet your criterion!

A "consistent winner" is not the criteria you set in your previous post you fricking idiot. Post some facts. What had Saban won at Michigan State? Im not interested in your uninformed opinion. Post some facts to back up your entitled, whinny opinion.

That's my point, both are on the back ends of their careers and haven't proved anything on the level of the position that some fans want them at just because they are LA guys through and through. It's retarded. All of the other coaches were for the most part up and coming consistently winning ball games at their previous jobs minus Miles. You get it?

He and I were friends. Jerry Murfree, Spenncer Smith, John Ed Bradley. We had fun. Those guys would show up every time I was in a bind. Out of nowhere, there they would be. It was like God put them there to be my personal guardian angels.

Great friends. Great memories. Great times. Loved them all. FOREVER LSU!

Do you know what consistently winning means? If you win consistently at a high level than that is maintaining a championship caliber program. In Saban's final year at Mich st he was in the process of turning that program around and he bailed for LSU. LSU in 2000 was in a completely different state than it is now. We have 2 NC's and another NC game appearance under our belt. You don't go and hire a career assistant as your HC who is on the back end of his career. You can get mad all you want and be a little internet tough guy and keep calling me names because you don't agree with me.

I'd love to hear your criteria for LSU's next head coach. Do you have to skin an alligator and bathe in gumbo? I wonder if Bama's pissed because Saban didn't grow up a redneck from an Alabama trailor park.

I was there. And remember when we laughed at any school with a mascot as ridiculous as the Ducks. They were our padding in the schedule.

It was also Steve's misfortune to play at the same time as David Woodley, who everyone liked and was a quiet guy. Steve had the physical tools but Woodley started in a Super Bowl. Things have a strange way of playing out.

They do have a strange way of working out considering David Woodley drank himself to death a decade ago and Ensminger at the moment is the Offensive Coordinator or a rejuvenated LSU offensive.

I'm sure he doesn't look at it as misfortune.

Steve has done OK, but as usual, there's quite a bit of erroneous BS in this thread about 5 and 8, and their roles under Charlie Mac

Woodley was so superior, but had to share playing time with Ensminger. Glad E has matured. I wish we still had Woodley.

Pretty presumptuous of you. Everyone on this board is not MALE.

Doing a very good job. But I hope he did learn a little from the play call at the end of the 1st half Saturday. We were averaging what 20+ yards per carry and we had a 8 pt lead with 1:08 on the clock. Come on!

We should have run the ball to get away from our own endzone. Then opened up a bit. We gave Ole Miss a gift and we can't do that against Bama.

Woodley had more overall talent and spark, but he could be inconsistent and streaky...signs of deeper troubles to come. Ensminger was a steadying influence on the field. Mac would sometimes switch just for a change of pace, even if one was playing better than usual. Sound familiar?

I did not mind the play call prior to halftime. The problem was execution. It turned out ugly. Maybe you prefer more of Les?

Bayou, you have to understand that this howlublahblahblah character is one of those barber shop and convenient store coaches that knows anything and everything about coaching offense and defense because he can score 100 points on his play station while holding the opponent to minus 50 points.

What you also need to remember is that clowns like this are already inducted into the HoF for playing and coaching. Why didn't you already know that those clowns coach with their thumbs on a gaming device and cannot be beat???? Shame on you!

Those assclowns want the "soup du jour" coach. Just take a look at the CC board for a prime example. Some of them are falling all over themselves because someone started a rumor about brian kelly. Oregon averaged 100 points a game so that's who the play station and xbox crowd want. They speak out of their asses and have no clue other than "hey look, this guys team scored 60 points. Now that's the guy to coach my team."

Those same ones wanted Saban gone but now sniff his jock and act like he's never lost a game.

Steve and Orgeron are doing a phenomenal job! I'm very happy for both of them.
