Most here didn't know Steve Ensminger when he played for LSU. I did.

He was a cocky S.O.B. who on more than one occasion got his @ss kicked. He also kicked a little @ss himself.

Fast forward almost 40 years.

Coach Steve Ensminger is doing a great job as OC. He has paid his dues over the years and learned from some of the best. I'm happy he's having another bite of the apple and especially happy for him its at LSU.

Like most, I hope LSU hires a top flight OC for next season. Till then, I'll say good job Steve. You've done well for yourself.

It was also Steve's misfortune to play at the same time as David Woodley, who everyone liked and was a quiet guy.
Steve had the physical tools but Woodley started in a Super Bowl. Things have a strange way of playing out.

He was a little rough around the edges.

David Woodley on the other hand was a pussy magnet.

Don't know but they couldn't beat Bama.
Hopefully he ends that trend.

Did he know to look at a man's knuckles before trying to fight him?

I was at LSU when Ensminger played and I have fond memories of him as QB. I'm very happy for him and he's doing a great job with the Tiger's offensive playcalling. Best of luck, Steve!

I just remember him handing the ball off to Alexander "The Great" with an occasional toss to Carlos Carson to keep things honest.

That was good enough for me.

In moments of nostalgia of camping out at Jellystone Park listening to Ferguson and Hill, that is usually the game I pivot to most.

Not a bad first game to attend!

I know their family.. very great people. That family is littered with athletes. Ashley Lewis who went on to marry Gordy is his niece, and Was a helluva softball player at LSU. Her brother Ryan was a great QB and Baseball player. He didn't go to LSU. Steves sister runs the CAYL baseball league in central, and has done it for a LONG time. Great people.

I like this. QBs and OCs should be cocky and confident.

He still is! When he was promoted to OC he sent a meme to a buddy of mine. Can't show it here but basically said this bitch is mine now.

Good ole Central boy. Hope he continues to do well.
