Matt Flynn was a 4 star and he is a backup QB.

Offers by UCLA, Tennessee, Arizona State are supposed to impress me? (I'll give you Holgorsen at Okie State if you want to press the issue).

Rivers has enough legit FBS offers. Those are not run of the mill mid majors.

One or two decent offers could be an anomaly. Not a half dozen. It's a legit collection of offers.

How old were you when Rivers was in high school?

It's amazing how much the Rant knows about every high school player across America, even how high schoolers played when the Ranter was probably 12 years old.

P. Rivers was not offered by Alabama or Auburn. That is how he ended up at NC State. Worked out nice for him.

Notre Dame is the only one that is impressive because of Brian Kelly.

Like to flame much? The OP was stating what was said on the NFL network. Dad thinks he is better than is older brother at that particular age. Deal with it and move on.

I personally saw him play in the first round of the playoffs this year versus Boaz HS. I don't think he's 6'7". He's definitely tall..but 6'7" would be stretching it by an inch or two. I was at field level walking the field pre-game and got to see him there...and saw him from press-box level during the game. He's got an arm. His decision making will need to be improved as he threw a couple of "against the grain" passes that could have went for pick sixes. No doubt..he's got talent...and a quick release. How well he does he manage the game? Hard to tell from one game.

Auburn's Fairely was a 3 Star. So was Jacob Hester! I'm excited we have the Kid! He will have unlimited resources available for him in the off season.

You know way less about CFB than you think you know. Do you happen to know who UCLA's HC/OC are? Norm Chow is considered one of the best QB coaches alive. You probably couldn't even name Arizona State's HC, much less their OC. ASU jumped about 60 spots in scoring offense in their new OC's first season.
