Who else here felt better about our chances with the game/OT on the line during Florida's last 2 possessions? I am almost positive that if Chavis was still the DC, the game would've gone into OT. It felt good to stop a team, not once but twice, late in the 4th quarter with the game on the line. Steele & BeBe deserve some credit for finally turning the tide on a trend that Chavis' defenses were sadly infamous for.

LSU was getting to their QB with only 3 players. The dime package with Adams in the "Money" position and Battle at deep safety is legit.

The blitzing was fantastic. It was inexcusable for that 30 yard pass to midfield to be so open though.

Godcheaux (sp) was driving a double team into florida's backfield all night. Neal can change directions like a running back, well, at least for his size.

For as good as that was, we seem to have some blown assignments every game in the defensive backfield. It seems like the DBs are playing man to man and the LBs are playing zone. Then the LB lets them go into an open area unchallenged. Need to get this and STs fixed.

Difficult to tell since their QB choked on the first drive.

I didn't. I honestly thought Florida would go down and score, go for 2 and win 36-35. I have no complaints with Steele and his scheme but it just seems as though teams can sometimes walk down the field at will, passing against the secondary. I know the numbers show otherwise in regards to PYG allowed.

I think I'm so used to Chavis running the worst 2 minute defense ever that I had already come to terms with the fact that they were gonna march down and score. When we got the stop I was ecstatic. That last 4 and out I was jumping up and down in front of the TV.

welcome debbie downer. apparently the defense didnt have impact on his abilities. maybe they just stood there & let him choke.

I thought it was great - I don't miss Chavis at all. He was a dumb fricker and I hate his guts now.

I felt like they closed the door particularly because of the D-line pressure. We certainly did not show that the last couple of years. They were smart, kept their lanes, and got a good push.

It wasn't. Harris threw it up and a DB got turned around.

It was similar to the pass to Dupre earlier in the game.

One play for positive gain in last 8+ minutes vs Top Ten squad.

That's 1 play out of the last 15 that went for positive yardage.

Inexcusable.
