2008 we played a redshirt freshman and true freshman QB.
2009 we played a virtual true freshman QB and a tramatized J.L.

Time--not a coaching change--will fix your trend.

How can you be so goofy-stupid? Let me guess, you are a NegaTiger and proud of it.

Not to hijack or anything but Dooley was impressive. Seemed in total control of his team. He has them believing.

How long is he at Tech? Seems greener pastuers will he headed his way. Maybe Georgia?

No I'm not. I'm asking a legit question.

How bout Carroll or Tressel or Bowden or Paterno or any number of other coaches people slobber over who Les is currently ahead of this season and still getting no respect from our own damn fans?

Two of those guys are in their 80s.

The other one is the head coach of one of the most elite programs of the past 10 years.

The other one is one of the dirtiest coaches in the nation.

What about them?

Did you just start watching LSU in 2003 or something?

Actually, I started in 2001. I'm only 24 and was more of a basketball/baseball fan in my formative years.

That said, I'm not a jump off the bridge type of guy. I don't expect to win a NC every year. In fact, I expected to be 10-2.

But the issue is performance vs. results. Until this year, USC played every single game close. They were never out of a game in the 4th quarter. They always look prepared, they always looked well coached.

Do you think LSU always looks prepared and well coached?

So what happened this year to USC?

You're almost there...

2010 - We had to play a freshman on offense
2011 - We had to play a tough schedule
2012 - We had an injury

It's something every year. At what point does it end?

They lost their entire defense. And are starting a true freshman at QB. And they've had their worst season in years... which will end up being 3 total losses.

We had more than that last year. And are headed for more than that this year.

When you get lucky. That's when it ends.

Florida won't even be on the radar after Tebow leaves.

Stupid penalties, repeated over and over, and getting pushed around by much less talented teams is not a sign of good coaching. Halftime adjustments are nil. Bottom line is always the HC

I am a Les Miles supporter, but my wife can even see these things on the field. There are problems.

So in your opinion we are going to lose to Ole Miss and Arkansas and for the first time since he got to LSU we're going to lose a bowl game too.

This is the point where you probably just need to dial it back down a bit and think about what you're saying.

Could that happen? Yes.

Is it likely? No. Not even close. We were in the only two games we lost. We could have won both of those with just a few things falling our way.

We aren't as horrible as you'd like to think. Just put La Tech out of your mind because it's apparently deranged you.

Disagree. Brantley is a better passer than Tebow. The offense will be different but UF will contend next year and perhaps be a favorite in 2011.

BTW, USC will contend the next three years after taking this year to develop Barkley.

there are several reasons i stand behind him...

+class act; great rep for LSU; LSU is my college; not my professional football team

+great recruiter

+put exciting and competitive teams on the field

+great record the last 5 yrs, incl an SEC and National Title

we hit a bump last yr and i thing he deserves a chance to right the ship. i see it happening, even though the offense is struggling. we have a chance for a very good bowl this year and our future looks bright. i believe our offense will improve greatly next year; if not, coach miles needs to hold our offensive coaches accountable. i believe GC had earned another yr also. RP and OL attrition has been tough, but i think we will get through this time. the last reason i stick with coach miles is because most of the crap i read on here about why he's not a good coach is unmitigated bull shite propagated by fools that don't know shite about football and their choices for his "replacement" are not proven to be as good as him much less better.

I agree, they will decline. And the recent success of Meyer/Saban is 95% of the reason for the paranoia of LSU fans.

I'm not one of those people

But Florida isn't going "off the radar." You're kidding yourself if you think that.

Nah I know they'll be around. But we will beat them next year and we won't be alone.

Not too sure about Bama though.

To give credit where credit is due, Saban's turnaround of Bama in only 2 years is nothing short of incredible. Also, will probably have undefeated regular season 2 years in a row.

Excuses excuses excuses

FOR ONCE I would just like to hear the "positiger" say Miles screwed up.

La Tech has twice the excuses for why they lost but you heard NOTHING from their coach about that:

Twice as many starters out.
Let down after a close loss to the #6 team in the country
Hostile environment on the road.

But some the first words out of Les' mouth were excuses.

There was NO EXCUSE for almost losing to a team that hadn't had a lead on your program in 105 years.

I said this earlier in the thread, but that is what made it even more discouraging.

NOt only was our line getting pushed around by La. Tech, it was getting pushed around by La. Tech's frickin' backups.
