How do people do it?

I tried. Suffered through last year, put it on the defensive staff.

But the excuses are running out.

I'm asking a legitimate question here. How are you guys who defend Miles standing behind him?

I guess because I don't have a weepy vagina I don't freak out when we aren't a shoe in for a NC every year.

It's college. There's always going to be something to fix.

Yeah, if I'm a big TAF guy that 18 million is a huge attitude adjuster. He's not so bad after all.

I agree with the guy above. My doubts lie in the Crowton camp. I hope Les will do what he did last year to fix the D side and find us a better OC.

Me either.

Obviously. Struggling against La. Tech doesn't count as "something to fix." It's called an abortion of coaching.

He's worthless as well.

But you proved my point. Every year it's a rotating excuse. "Not Les, gotta be the D staff." "Not Les gotta be the young QB." "Not Les, gotta be... ad infinitum.

Les hired Crowton. Hand picked him.

Recruiting has been above average, and LSU is better than they were in the 90's. I keep thinking Les will have an epiphany of sorts and the game day coaching will increase dramatically.

Les is acceptable because there are not many coaches out there who you know, 100% would do better.

Keeps me hoping. Lets see how LSU finishes out the year.

They didn't struggle. They slept through it and still won without JJ, Scott, TBob, or Dickson.

This next one against Ole Miss is gonna tell the tale. Because after watching them yesterday, I think McCluster will run all over our asses.

They step up for that and win it, I really don't see how somebody can fault Miles.

Because Miles has proven that he can win the BCS Championship.

Because he can maintain an elite recruiting program.

Because he has LSU football at the highest pinicle of success in history.

Because he keeps bringing in great recruiting talent.

Because a coach needs two things to win conference and BCS championships: a lot of talent, and an experienced and talented QB. and when Miles and his coaching staff get those things, they win championships.

Because if we get another H.C., there is no guarantee it will be for the better.

How many years did it take for USC, Texas, Oklahoma, and Bama to find the winnig coaches they have now?

N.D, Michigan, Miami, Nebraska are all still searching for their past glory, and the NegaTigers want to give up what we already have--amazing.

Even good coaches lose games they should win sometimes, i.e. Saban with ULM/UAB, Carroll with Stanford every year/Washington. Doesn't mean the sky is falling.

First Miles is not going anywhere unless he chooses. His record is too good. Last year was biggest catastrophe and finished 8-5 w/ bowl victory. That record gets you in the hall of fame at some schools.

However, if LSU chose to get rid of Miles that entire buyout would not be paid. Would be some type of negotiated settlement.

This is the kind of shite that just amazes me about our 'fans'. We're playing better under Miles than we EVER HAVE IN THE HISTORY OF THE PROGRAM and they think he sucks.

If they were USC fans would they be calling for Carrolls head right now?

Calm down Nancies.

Although I know that he will be here for a long time, I did not say that I was a fan of his coaching. I think he often under achieves.

Also, it looked like Derek Dooley outcoached him last night.

But again, he's not going anywhere.

Better than above average... great really. So I'll give you that. But what's the point of recruiting well if you aren't going to use the recruits?

Yeah, I can't really argue with this.

I agree. Just don't see that happening at all.
