That might not be for a WHILE. They tend to not name buildings after people until they're dead

If he brings us another NC and possibly more, when he retires I have no problem having the stadium or field named after him. Everyone has their opinion though.

Eta. The field

After he retires. Like for Shaq.

That's the proper way.

Like the sound of it too. Kind of like mile high stadium

Miles Stadium. Nice ring to it.

This would be much more honorable then a stupid statue

Totally agree. Don't want any stupid statue. If you need a good arguement against a statue then how about this. Bama does it! All their stupid songs and traditions are gay.

This would be perfect. I would have no problem with this. But like it has been said in this thread, don't even consider it until after he has retired.

Naming the field for him would be more appropriate, since he likes to, y'know, graze there.

The whole "statute" presentation by these schools, is over-powering. These guys are "coaches" nothing more!! Statues should be relegated to war heroes and others that lost their life for a cause, not this BS. Sickens me to no end. GEAUX TIGERS!! Through Thick and Thin

You think they'll take a blow torch to that thing?

Kinda like les miles field, where the grass is sweet as cherry wine

Id say he has to stay atleast 5 more years, win atleast one more BCSNC, and keep LSU relevant every season.

Oh, and no statues while he is still here.

This.

But after he retires. Let's not imortalize a faulty human being while he continues to put skins on the wall and it turns out that one of those skins was achieved illegally or immorally...cough, cough.

If Bama can build one for saban after 1 championship. How bout Les with a possible 2 championships in 5 years? Who would like to help start the fund.

LSU doesn't worship its coaches like Alabama does.

Unlike at Bama, when LSU wins a championship, it is about more than the head coach.
