Because it's a situation that they should have been COACHED for. If the kid can't pick up what is going on, he shouldn't be out there. This is what practice is for, knowing what to do and what to expect in these situation. Obviously, they were oblivious as they let the WR run right by them while waiting for the QB to get sacked.

Unprepared, coaches can be blamed for it. Player isn't without blame, but shite should have been addressed before it happened.

I guess you can't fix stupid.

But then again...ive been reading all offseason from the tards on this board how Miles should play more freshmen. Well there ya go...maybe the coaching staff does read this board.

Correct. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

What college DB wouldn't "understand" what that meant? Miles is a liar.

the EXACT same thing happened on the TD pass to Shepard for UNC, btw.

We got that communicated to the field, but the difference is they didn't understand exactly what we were saying

You're the head coach. It's your job to ensure the players know exactly what you are saying and exactly what you want them to do. Especially if you are playing a freshman.

NOT EVEN CLOSE! You do not put a freshman on an island in that situation and HOPE he isn't fooled. The other team is PRAYING you do just that!

Dunbarton, sure doesn't help when you've got the talking heads like Songy and whatnot feeding shite into the older crowd as well.

It's shite like this that's already started to tear LSU's fan support in half.

So anytime a player makes a mistake its the coaches fault because the coach decided to play him?

Jesus H Christ.....how the frick does any coach keep a job then?

Holy shite...Sean Payton is a shitty coach because a rookie CB got burnt on a play while they were up by 20. Fire Payton!!! BOOOOO!!!!

You mean against team backed up into their own endzone and playing to keep their head above water?

When else are you supposed to play freshman?

It is sad what these young punks have brought to the lsu fanbase.

. It wasn't like that when we were coming up...we were united and LSU was the most intimidating place in america to come play a game.

yeah, i'm sure no one wants Chollie Mac fired

and now we win championships every few years, that sucks

Now, this new generation of punks, they leave at halftime, boo when they are there....and through it all lsu is 52-15

People left at halftime back in the day when LSU had a big lead, the few times it happened.....and people booed LSU players back then

I better see some criticism of Butch Davis then. For frick's sake, shite happens.

I wish people would make up their minds. First Miles doesn't play enough younger players, now he plays them at the wrong times? Da frick? What the frick is wrong with some of you people?

I'm not a pro Miles guy, but I really think maybe some coherent criticism should be warranted, not random bitching.

Yea...thats usually what people that either a) hate the HC or b) have no clue about football would say.

Dunbarton,

Young fans are the problem? You should probably worry about keeping those darn kids off you lawn and go listen to Beano Cook and Lou Holtz break down college football. This team is talented and for the past couple of years has underachieved. Questioning poor coaching decisions is part of being a fan (fanatic), not a blind homer.

It's also pretty obvious (after the fact) that Les was not calling for a spike during the Ole Miss game last year.

Holy shite!!!
I stopped reading here. Seriously, you have got to be Miles' nephew or cousin or something.

Bang your head all you want, obviously you aren't supposed to play them and put them in a position to fail. How about a zone while the best player in college football on defense is standing on the sideline!

NO WAY you put all non-starters on the field at the same time against a desperate offense. They gave the opportunity to NC by doing that and great job by their coaches and qb for recognizing it and executing against the obvious mistake by us!
