Yea because T-Bob didn't get DESTROYED in SEC play last year. Its not like he gained weight either. How many teams in the SEC have 280lb Guards?

I have posed the question before, and I will ask you...... Who in the SEC will he line up against who is better than RT 91 - Tydreke Powell (6-3, 305, Jr.)

Rantards know that no one on LSU's team can ever get better. It is what it is. Same goes for the coaches. Facts are facts

My exact thought all game. I believe Blackwell's backup was freshman Willford so why didn't he go in??
Nothing against t-bob but why isn't the backup guard go in for the starting guard??? It is just odd to me

A former LSU lineman said on this board that "Stud the Dud" played favorites and that "Stud" loved T-Bob but Lonergan was a much better lineman.

Aglandry - just can't bring yourself to giving Hebert any kind of credit whatsoever huh? We know you hate his old man but why hold a grudge against T Bob? Has he done anything to you? By the way, do you see T Bob supporters bad mouthing Lonergan and his Holding call that caused a crucial 1st down to be nullified? Grow up! You are too old to hold such grudges like that!

The only argument that holds water is the idea of switching Lonergan and T-Bob.

I'll take exception to that statement. I'll quote from none other than that Cajun philosopher,Bobby Hebert, who said after a Saints game"that the Saints had a great offense because they had a great center in Goodwin. Hebert said that the offense starts with the center. He said,"show me a great offense and I'll show you a great center." I say, conversely, you show me a bad offense and I'll show you a bad center.Hopefully, Miles will take Hebert's statement to heart and keep T-Bob from the center position.I personally think Bobby Hebert is right on with his statement. At least last year his statement was accurate.

I give Bobby Hebert credit all the time. I think his statement about a great offense is the result of a great center is right on the mark. I hope Miles takes his statement to heart.

AG, let it go man. Sarcasm in your post is so obvious! You have posted that same statement I would bet over 20 times now. Why can't you bring yourself to say Hebert was pretty solid Sat?? Can't you at least recognize the importance of having a flex guy like him that can step in? I know it's tough for you. Broh, just let it go. Your life is much too short to hold any animosity.

You are super sensative Outnumbered. I never made any comment about T-Bob's performance in saturdays game. You had better reread my post.Others have made comments about his performance in saturdays game but not me.

I dont think T-bob is a very good lineman especially in the SEC, BUT the entire reason he went in and not someone else is because he knows the plays and blocking schemes and they probably felt comfortable playing a guy who got a lot of snaps vs a guy who hadnt taken a snap yet. Now, from here on out, it is in the hands of the coaches to NOT play our back up center @ guard and get someone else ready to do it.

.......and after that if T-Bob is the best we have, then we are in trouble.

AG - Okay, since you go about it in a round about way of not wanting to ever give T Bob credit, let me ask you STRAIGHT UP; Did T Bob play a decent game filling in on Saturday knowing he never took a snap at guard in a real game in his life? Let's see if you can bring yourself to it??
Me, super sensitive, Nah , not in the least bit. I just roll with it. No grudges for anyone on my end! You know you can not say the same.

Wouldn't you think that going up against Nevis, Brockers, and Downs at practice would get the younger guys ready to play? Aren't Shaw, Branch, Faulk and Willford all huge?

T-Bob played well against UNC DT 91 - Tydreke Powell (6-3, 305, Jr.)

Here are his credentials:

SuperPrep All-America • Ranked the No. 3 player in North Carolina and the No. 10 defensive tackle in the country by Scout.com • Considered the No. 6 player in North Carolina by SuperPrep • Member of recruiting analyst Tom Lemming's All-America team • Named Lemming's No. 27 player in the country •

Find a better Right DT than him starting in the SEC. I will wait for your answers.

I have not had a chance to re-watch the game, but I don't think the t-bob did that bad in the game. We actually ran a lot of plays to the right side. I was as pissed as everybody the other night when he was called for the holding, but if he didn't hold then he didn't hold and to those rantards that are holding T-bob responsible, that is complete BS.

I thought the whole team played well. The real problem saturday was the turnovers and mistakes in the secondary by some of the young players. I feel real good about this team and feel they will be a team of "destiny" after jumpimg over a snake saturday. The OL, DL and Patrick Peterson played well. This team has a tremendous upside and will only get better with each game.

Getting closer!! Progress is being made! However, just can not bring yourself to specifically say T Bob was respectable huh? Come on, just say it. It will be good therapy for you!

Good point...talent doesnt always matter, knowing the schemes does.
