I was lucky because of a celebrity that I was with to get pregame access before the Ark game. We met with Les for about 5 min. With some of the reports that I am reading now some of what he said makes a lot more since. We were standing there in the middle of the field and he was talking about the time he has spent in Louisiana and that during that time this place has become home. He said "I was a Michigan man but now I am a Louisiana man". I thought at the time he sounded kind of burned out as far as his tone, he was just kind of matter of fact not real passionate. Looking back on it now I wonder if he kind of knew this was his last year and was feeling a little nostalgic about his time here. I am sure some of you will rip this apart and by all means go for it. Just sharing my feelings about his attitude given the fact that I at least have spoken to him and all those that may rip this thread apart have not.

I mean...I guess. Its pretty vague, but it could make sense. Not really sure what there is to rip, unless you're just lying.

JBeam: If I emailed you a pic that proved it, would you come back on here and admit you were wrong.

It's true. Friday night I was in a 3-way with 2 Golden Girls who, when their mouths weren't otherwise occupied, told me they've been hearing similar things from players.

Once we get a new coach, people will start to have more positive feelings.
I hope those positive feelings don't include dying to have him back.
There's way more room below Miles bar than above it.

I appreciate your post.

It's obvious that he loves/ed his time at LSU. It may have to do with the passionate fan base, great teams/men he's coached or the millions he's made, but he has always seemed to enjoy himself. He's had some great games in Tiger Stadium. He's won a national championship and a couple SEC titles. He has coached some of the greatest players in LSU history who are stars in the NFL.

Most people want to see him leave with dignity and live with honor in LSU history. He will never be considered the greatest mind college football or LSU has had, but he will always be one of the biggest names in both LSU and college football history due to his wacky, entertaining personality, and his general attitude toward the game of football. Many people hate his circular speech and the awkward style of coach speech he uses, but it has always been a source of amusement for me. He's done a lot for LSU, but his time has past and the longer he holds on/is kept here, the worse for both sides. I hope all parties involved figure this out, and are able to find a graceful separation.

He fooled me. Prolly could fool me again. That's why I turn the sound off on the TV when he's talk in'.

Need more context. Why did this come up?

But since he brought it up, ironically before Arky, ask him why he so classlessly used Arky to hold us hostage for more money a few years back. Did he regret that since that's why his buyout is so bad for us Louisiana people today.
