Is anyone else a little concerned with the play of our special teams? Not to nitpick on anything from the last two games, but they are easily the weakest link at this time. Not tackling or covering as well as they could

I noticed last year that they seemed to take a noticeable step back. McGauhey and Robinson were both great spcial teams coaches so it's hard not to notice the dropoff.

Keehn's punting has been unimpressive thus far and our coverage was a little terrifying at times yesterday.

Special teams could become a key factor in games against greater competition. We're going to need to generate some yardage in the return game and mitigate big plays by the opposition.

I'll say that coverage of opposition's returns and our own returns do truly need some attention. It could very well be a problem down the road.

That's my thoughts. In a close game, special teams play can make a difference.
