here's the deal: We lost a few of "miles'" recruits and people are going nuts. forget about the star ratings for a moment. we all know that some of our BEST players were 3 stars. Some of our players have been 5 star busts.

different coaches see different things in recruits. I mean frick, keiland Williams was supposed to be the best recruit that this school has ever landed at the time.

give O the chance to bring in some of his recruits that, in his opinion are better for our program.

stop being foolish to think that if we lose a few of miles' recruits that we are doomed.

give the man a chance to recruit and land a few of his "stars". let him coach them his way and then complain or rejoice.

o has always been one of the best recruiters in the country. not because he was able to land all of the 5 stars but because he was able to land guys who proved ON THE FIELD that they were MONEY!!!!

I thought O was a "great" recruiter. Why is he having a problem "closing the deal" with these recruits?

O wants to land as many 5 stars as possible trust me. Keep telling yourself otherwise if that makes you feel better.

"Hire O, he'll keep this recruiting class together"

"Hire O he knows his limitations and wont interfere with the offense"

His recent moves sort of blow those two things up.

I want an OC to decide who his QB is. Kiffin does fine with Pro-style QBs BTW.

I wish we'd all remember that the game is not recruiting for recruiting's sake. The game is football.

Fine. While "some" of our best players have been 3 stars, most of our best players have been 4 or 5 stars.

And beyond Brennan, (if we do end up) losing Moses and Allen out of BR to Bama is much more concerning. Especially when Linebacker is a position of extreme need and Bama has 3rd string 5 stars.

Miles hasn't recruited one solid QB. Mett was a transfer. So I already believe Brennan is a bust because Miles wanted him. Geaux Tua!!

what makes you think that he's having a problem? do you think maybe that he's not really trying to "close the deal" on some of the athletes that miles thought were best for his program? you don't think that o has his eyes on different targets instead?

You're making the most logical point about star rating not mattering, but it falls on deaf ears. Year over year we see 4 and 5s not meet expectations and 2 and 3s become superstars, you are right, but no one wants to accept that reality. Its not sexy to lose out on high school celebrities.

I agree with you. there's no fricking way that coach O can find some good linebackers outside of BR.

If he doesn't land these ONLY two lb's from baton rouge......we're fricked.

I can't argue with you there.

No we are going to lose recruits sometimes no matter who is the head coach. But losing one of the top rated QB's in the country is an issue no matter who the coach is especially considering the one "and only" position we have had trouble with is the QB position and considering how important that position is I hope you can see the cause for concern!

With Miles, we would have never beaten Bama again, IMO. With Cosch O, I am optimistic. Give the man time to implement his system with his players.
