Regardless of the negativity, we will have a new staff, a great recruiting class and the ability to develop a QB. LLes and Cam are gone and change is what has been needed for a long time. Moses? See ya... hope you don't plan on getting a job in Louisiana... same for Cam Rob, Williams, etc. LSU WILL compete on the recruiting trail for the kind of DL and OL it will take to beat Bama.... period. Miles couldn't do it. Change is in the air and we will fight to keep our Louisiana boys home. It will take some time but the Tigers will put the fence up and keep our talent in state. Cheers to Coach O... let's set the tone these next couple of months and start building from the inside out !!!

I like you. People beg for change. Change happens. People don't like change.

We didn't change. We just hired the low rent version of the last guy. Our AD said he wanted a top offensive mind with head coaching experience. We got a defensive line coach of questionable acumen who was Ole Miss's worst head coach in history. It isn't the fans' fault that Alleva's only consistent quality is failing to live up to expectations he sets.

Lol, there are plenty of Bama supporters and people who will become Bama supporters when Orgeron runs LSU into the ground, who will gladly hire these Gumps in Louisiana.

Ole Miss was 10 years ago. His overall record as Interim HC is 11-4 and his conference record is 10-3. Chill the frick out. Root for your team.

Really need to forget that "get a job in Louisiana" talk track.

The real issue is: these kids are being used in an effort to hurt LSU. They don't realize they're pawns. Then they'll spend their entire life justifying the decision. They'll never admit it was a bad choice.

He has one signature win in his career. One. I'll give him credit, the Stanford win was nice. Outside of that, however, his interim resume isn't as good as Les Miles' resume. That's just a fact.

Hahaha. Comparing a guy who was HC for 10 years to a guy that had two interim stints and one HC job that he admits he screwed up.

That's how you compare things. You want to throw out his only other experience. So we're left with his interim gig. He beat Stanford and an aggy team we throttle annually. That's it. He has nothing that Les didn't have.

I will say Florida was a bad loss for O. I think most lsu fans wouldn't have that bad taste in their mouth had we won that game. But! How about that Arkansas win? The hangover away game. Miles hasn't been able to do it for three years. That arky game is a very solid win.

People that spout off shite like this really need to take a long look in the mirror. For one, these guys will be millionaires before they turn 25 so there's that. And two, if you're a business owner in Louisiana and any of these kids send you a resume and they are fully qualified, have the correct experience, etc, and you still don't hire them because they played for Bama? Well, that just means you're a pretty shitty human being. Some of you really need to get a grip on reality and life in general.

Wut? They were 7-5. It was a road win and nothing more.

Missouri beat Arkansas. The rest of the league routinely throttles Arkansas. Credit where it is due, though. He got them up for a game that over the last two years probably did the most to cost Les his job.

I just don't think it is all that impressive to beat an Arkansas team that just finished the season with the worst rushing defense in college football history.

Seriously, and that goes for both those who make asinine comments about recruits and all of the chicken littles who lose their damn minds and over react to both good and (especially) bad news. They're ruining this site.

To the OP, I agree. While I agree with the general opinion regarding Joe Alleva's performance as an AD and how the coaching change was handled, I'm optimistic about coach O. Losing the local talent at a position of need to Saban does suck, but LSU will be fine and will be far better off with the new staff. For those who don't seem to pay attention or have short memories, things are rocky at first when you change coaches. Frankly, I'm surprised that it isn't worse. Once the new OC is in place, they're still within reach of finishing with a top 5 recruiting class which is virtually unheard of in a transition year.

I believe that the future is bright.
