it's his opinion Gray. This is a fan message board where fans, you know, give, like, their opinions and stuff.

If you hold everyone here to the standard of a journalist who needs to verify his information from multiple credible sources, well, this place would cease to exist.

I am ecstatic with just about everything that has happened since the bowl game. Things definitely seem to be happening that are a far more than most were realistically hoping for. woohoo! There are lots of things to be excited about with this team going forward!

And contrary to how a lot of people feel I don't have to much of a problem with the play calling. My biggest gripe is the play book!

Analogy: Recipe is a play and cookbook is a list of available plays. Our cookbook sucks!

I could easily give you sources, but then they'd be fired from the staff.

Let's just all hope for a better November than the one we've had the past four years.

Keeping the coaching staff completely intact isn't necessarily a good thing given some of the clear issues with coaching we saw with this team the past two seasons. That is especially true on special teams and BDP.

There is a difference with change for the sake of change and change when it is needed. LSU benefited from Steele leaving and Aranda is a great hire (kudos to Les and Alleva), but this team still has some serious coaching issues on special teams, QB, and at TE (which has underwhelmed for nearly 6+ years now.

Most coordinators are coaching from the field now. Take Monday's game for instance.

well good for them

Most coaches didn't meddle with play calling like Les and I know this from multiple staff.

Tennessee 2005
Auburn 2006
UK and Arky 2007
Bama and Arky 2008
Ole Miss 2009
Tennessee 2010
Bama II 2011
UF, Bama, Clemson 2012
Ole Miss 2013
Arky and ND 2014

Then you had this year. Les has had numerous games where he's been flat outcoached and his teams have been embarrassed because of it.

He's still a great coach, but acting like it's only been 2 games in 11 years is pretty hilarious.

We lose 1-2 games a year because he is stubborn and is being outcoached.

For you to list ANY game from 2005 is just pure ignorance. I also seriously question putting 2006 Auburn and 2014 Notre Dame on this list.... along with a game that we won against Tennessee in 2010.

It's an extremely short list of games where he's been flat outcoached as opposed to bad officiating, players just being overmatched, or a combination of all three.

Look at what the coaches are seeing and telling/selling the recruits...

Miles survived the coup and is good to go. Sumlin on hot seat. Malzahn on notice. Mullen could leave any time. Bama lost 3 or 4 position coaches.

Everybody in the SEC West is rebuilding substantially on both sides of the ball except LSU.

LSU picked up new energetic DC that can connect better with some of these incoming guys better than past coaches.

The key here is that it is not just what is happening at LSU but what is not happening at our competition. The last few years we have had some really good teams and players but our division opponents had just as good or better. Things have cycled around to our time if we manage it correctly.

Go look at our passing statistics against Arkansas 2007, Alabama 2008, and Ole Miss 2013 and tell me that there was no other factor but the head coach that lost those games. And again, we got our asses handed to us on the field against Ole Miss 2009 and Bama 2011, that wasn't ONLY coaching.

Alabama and Clemson in 2012? This list is seriously a joke.

I don't think you know what we were even talking about. Are you trying to tell me there were clock issues in all those games.

To blow a 21-point lead to a team that finished the season at 5-6 is never excusable, sorry.

Auburn 2006 is entirely on him and it was stated he was the one that insisted on keeping with the running game for so long despite it not working. Every year after that has proven it under 3 more OC's.

ND was a disaster in how it was played out and multiple bad decisions.

Anyone thinking just because Dooley out Miles'ed Miles that the 2010 UT "win" is excusable because it wasn't a loss is just pathetic.
