If this plays out like it seems.. with LSU getting JF, he will have did a great job and showed some balls to point LSU football in the right direction. The nice guy move would be to let Les have a few more years because of the past, and risk getting stuck with whoever happens to be available at the time.

He's the only one who knows the real story behind the scenes and for all we know Miles has told him that Cam and BDP are not going anywhere! Fire me if you don't like it. I'm convinced Les' dream is to have another good year so he can retire and hand off LSU to his best friend CAM

I love the intelligent way he handled the lacrosse players situation. Don't you?

Because there was any way an AD was going to come out smelling like roses from that situation

He's said again and again that he will address it after the season.

Either someone on the BOS or a booster is leaking shite to the media, or the media just completely ran with it on their own.

Either way, what do you want him to do? Come out and support Les? Then all you fools will want to hang him.

Should he come out and fire Les now? Yeah, that wouldn't be a shite show.

He's going to wait until the end of the season and then the decision will be made or announced. Yes, I'm sure he and the board already have a good idea of what that decision will be, but he owes it to Miles to let him finish the season. Firing a dude before the last game (even if you let him coach the last game) is a lot more embarrassing then whatever Les is going through right now.

Les is a coach. He puts on the blinders and does his job. I think he can handle it.

nicely put. If Les wins Saturday and the right coach isn't in play, then there's a chance he's coming back. I think it's that simple, and people blaming him for the Advocate leak have no idea what they're talking about. shite, belowpar worked at LSU and made himself a tigerdroppings insider. I'm sure the advocate probably bribed whoever it was at least

By not talking about it and addressing the rumors especially in sports. THAT is how.

For that much money hang me out anyway you want. Especially after the way Miles flirted with AR-Kansas a while back.

According to both local sportscasters last night they believe it is Alleva himself that has leaked this speculation. Now that is what I heard from a local whom I would imagine has a bit more insight than Mike and Mike. Maybe not much more but that is there job.

The point is there is a way to handle business - especially when the business is this high profile - and by not at least addressing this (and I've never heard him say after the season unless this was before the season) they are feeding him to the sharks. I'm aware Miles is a grown man and can handle the situation but that doesn't make it any less shitty and quite frankly embarrassing on LSU's part.

It's a black eye in this national media that this athletic director could slow down. Right now this whole country thinks LSU is fricking idiots and if you don't see that than I don't know what to tell you.

As I said - like him or not - he doesn't deserve this - nor should anyone. I don't care if he stays or goes but I do put a lot of stock in the character of a man and right now Les is beating Alleva by a long shot in that department.

Yeah, I don't blame skip bertman for Pokey Chatman wanting to scissor anyone with a pulse.

Also a similar situation is the UVA scandal, and UVA is led by the best and brightest. They fricked up equally as bad. I mean frick people are human

I just hate him for the Duke lacrosse thing. And I'd like him to allow beer sales rather than frick with ticket prices and parking. As I understand it, it's not a set in stone conference rule but just an agreement amongst the schools that they won't sell beer.

There just isn't a way to handle a scandal like what happened at Duke. That was incredibly bizarre and something 99% of athletic directors will never have to deal with anyways.

As far as beer sales, the guy has an MBA from Lehigh. He's a businessman too. Unless he's a southern baptist deacon, I'm sure he would love to add beer sales and is probably doing his best to allow it.

Thank you. If someone in the AD like belowpar has the nerve to become a tigerdroppings insider, what do people think others like him will do when the Advocate probably give the individual money on the side?

You kidding me? That shite happens all the time in sports, business, politics. If you think that doesn't happen you are whistling Dixie. (and Dixie should be fitting for all the other shite shows we are watching around this country at the moment)

I do think if he wins Saturday and Alleva can't get Jimbo he stays as above.

I don't think he's saying it's impossible, but you have to admit it's highly unlikely. if tigerdroppings can get belowpar I'm sure the Advocate could get someone-anyone-in the AD to leak information

I'd be very interested to see how Cutcliffe could do at LSU. This has been an off year for him, but I sure like watching them play. He's been over-achieving for a while now. Note: Duke was ranked higher than LSU at the end of last year.
