I know saturday was a big game, but if that is any indication of the team following, I think WVU would probably consistently outdraw a good number of the current SEC teams...

yes, but how long would these "diehards" continue to attend if they moved to the SEC and became the equivalent of Vandy or Kentucky.

convo is pointless seeing as it aint happening.

And make fun of Geno Smith? He did really well against your defense...really, really well actually. It will probably help your defense out with upcoming teams.

Not reading the thread, but based on this little nugget, i'm gonna guess you are a girl

Birdman--

Did he condone them?

Like I said, he was out on the field yelling that b/s at an injured player.

When I said condone it, that wasn't the correct term to use, for sure. However, the players see coach doing that, must be ok, right?

But with that said, when a head coach goes out on the field and starts ranting and raving to an injured player, that's pretty low.

Even Saban with his short temper wouldn't have done that.

Josh---Yes, how did you know?? I believe the 533 yards given up by the defense was the most given up by your alls defense since 2005. I could be wrong. But I believe so. I have to look on the bright side of a loss!

I actually talked to a good number of their fans about a conference change and most were totally irriated with the lack of current competetion...I think they would stick around during a slump at least as well as we did during the '90s....

Milan Puskar has a stated capacity of 60K, record is 70K......not sure how that worked.

The record of 70,000 was when our stadium held a higher capacity but was reduced when we removed seats in order to add luxury boxes.

Unfortunately our stadium capacity is rather limited since the stadium holds 60,000 and the largest city in the state is 55,000. But honestly we could have packed 75,000+ for the LSU game.

If we were to join the SEC we would add on and our attendance would average around 70,000 or so. It is hard to get big crowds for the likes of UConn, Rutgers, etc. - which we are unfortunately forced to play.

And come on now, I know you LSU fans are very knowledgeable about college football and know that we have a much stronger program than Vandy and Kentucky.

We have 2 BCS Bowl wins since 2006 (one over SEC champ Georgia). We also are 14th all time in wins, the most by any school without a National Title, unfortunately.

WVU is a solid program and they will be on the South Carolina level. They will compete for the East just they won't be the favorites usually.

come on now. you know you got to those BCS bowls by playing cakewalk schedules. similar to the one you play this year, other than LSU.

when you come here youd be playing top flight competition week in and out for the most part, thus giving you similar records to that of vandy or kentucky i would imagine.

Between the 20s due to Brad Wing pinning them deep. The defense was designed to get sacks and possibly pic-6s.

Not sure about the incident that occured with the people getting beat up. Too many different stories on that one. I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen as I wouldn't be surprised if it happened anywhere else.

im going to repost what i posted on page one, since it clearly did not take the first time ...

quote:

Geno took what was given to him. Barring a couple missed tackles that gave way to big plays, that was exactly the defensinve plan. Let Geno dink and dunk, give up nothing deep, force TO's, and shut the run game down. sure his near 500 yds are nice, but are quite deceptive. if anyone deserves credit its WVU O-line, and they don't really deserve much seeing as we pretty much never blitzed. they only deserve credit because we thought we'd get plenty pressure with our down lineman and clearly didnt.

Get fricked ! YOUR fans make your bed, now YOU have to sleep in it. IF you want to change what the rest of the country think about WV, you HAVE to STOP your redneck trash fans from trashing your reputation. problem is most of your fans try and make excuses for that trash, instead of blasting them and outing them.
