I don't know if this is how Holgs acts normally. This is only our fourth game with him. I do not recall the entire game either as I was outside playing beerpong after I got mad at the game. But, I DO know that Holgs has issues with another coach (maybe PITTS coach?) faking injuries at great times (offense or defense). I have to say it seemed weird, but I'm not a coach. I don't know.

Not sure about the incident that occured with the people getting beat up. Too many different stories on that one. I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen as I wouldn't be surprised if it happened anywhere else.

I didn't think I changed the topic about Geno. My general concern was hypocrisy. I would expect you to agree that Geno did really well against your defense. It was amazing to watch LSU's defense. It really was. And it was amazing to watch Geno do what he could against the absolute best defense in the country. He broke our school records with his passing Saturday and I believe it is the most passing (?) yards against LSU in a couple years. But I could be wrong. Someone told me that.

I thought it was a nice first post too.

Also, I am a girl. From Morgantown and a grad student at WVU

I'm pretty sure. Yes there are assholes on every campus. I'm ALOT more concerned about the people that watched and didn't do anything.

I disagree. I think the score was decpetive. Not how we moved on the field (at times). Our Oline did AMAZING. I couln't believe it. Although, maybe that was deceptive too. Our OLINE hasn't been too impressive before Saturday.

Oh, they are prom PA? I had heard it was LSU fans. See, that's what I meant about all of the different stories. I didn't read the article all through....but maybe it wasn't even football related as far as who the a**holes were who did this.

MAM...honestly, the kind of trash talk that you mention witnessing by the WV student is just foolishness and to be expected in an atmosphere as electric as the one last saturday....don't sweat over any of that type of banter...honestly, most of it is kind of funny, even if you are on the receiving end...

now, I have to say, the threat of violence is unacceptable under any circumstances, deserved or not...WVU really needs to get that under control...

anyway, thanks for joining the message board...hope you stay for a while...

ETA: you can quote by hilighting whatever you want to be quoted and hitting the "quote" button to the right of the text box...

The man is actually a Southern Mississippi grad but is an LSU fan. He is from right down the road from me in Natchez, MS. He was sent to PA by the company that he works for and had taken clients to watch a game in your cesspool.

Welcome MAM

I think our fanbases are more alike than they are different. We talk smack here because it's all anonymous.

WVU just built this game up too much. They were ready to explode. Unfortunately, you got us in an up year. This is as good as LSU gets.

Ohhh OK. I see. Our cesspool? Man, there are plenty of LSU fans that had a great time. Come on. It is a crazy situation though. Who knows what happened. What a horrible situation. I'd like to know what exactly did this and if they were sudents, or what.

Also, No one answered mny question about SEC yet!

someone did answer that question and pretty much hit the nail on the head, for me anyways.

here is the answer that was given ...

quote:

The program is bush league....no offense, but your stadium would probably be the 9th best, and we feel we can attract a more traditional power.

9th best? What do you mean? Because of how many people it holds? We would probably have to expand if we were accepted into SEC, right?

I know nothing about this topic but here are my thoughts. We have passion. No question. We have an amazing traveling fan base and we have tradition. I've read numersous times that we fit culturally. I can agree with that.

Am I on track with what I'm saying?

And I don't know the rules! Care to explain? haha

missed it the first time...had to go back and read it...

I personally think WVU would be a good addition to the SEC...they typically have excellent teams, a strong football tradition, and a gameday atmosphere that is every bit as good as most in the SEC...

the only problem that I saw was an inordinate propensity by some of the WVU fans to try to pick fights...on any given saturday in the SEC, the banter and jawing gets spirited..however, I have never seen quite the number of folks that were just flat out looking for someone to fight that I saw on Saturday...

ETA: don't take this the wrong way, but you are pretty damn knowledgable for a girl...

Probably the 9th nicest in general, but it is pretty small for SEC standards. I think the only ones smaller would be Ole Miss, Mississippi St., Vanderbilt, and Arkansas. Not really the company you want to keep.
