Said that Harris looked solid, but if he went down and we had to go to Etling, we were in trouble (more or less what they said). Not wanting to blast anyone, but curious if anybody remembers that thread, and what exactly did the poster see. Just a bad day for Etling, dealing with that back injury, or poster probably FOS?

Could it also be that BH does better without pressure and Etling does better under pressure?

Kinda like at the driving range vs on the course. I always hit golf balls like a pro on the range and then suck it up on the course. I see BH as that kind of player. Just as good as Etling but the pressure cooks him and he's not that great.

Probably a complete Hanlon's razor situation.

What I keep saying, to which I think the coaches weren't too off the mark by starting Harris. He could very well be a practice warrior. I'm mainly curious about the Etling comment.

I remember the thread. Check under LesMiles#1 or ImtheMadHatter username.

In all seriousness, I do remember the thread though.

Several posters said the same thing. They were all at the same scrimmage.

Keep in mind DE was practicing with a lower back strain. His mechanics were off and looked horrible. He made several interception s that scrimmage.

it has come up several times on this board that Harris appears to be a practice pro. Evidently, under pressure he cant find his reads, panics, and rushes the throw.

Just watching the in game performances of BH and DE it looks to me like it is a problem between the ears now for Harris.

Also they usually scrimmage 1's vs. 2's. So Harris gets to go up against the JV team and Etling vs. the Suicide Squad

I remember the post and he said exactly that we were screwed if Harris went down.

People are going to hate me for saying this but BH has looked at times in practice like D Watson from Clemson and other times he needs to be replaced. I think he stays another year to improve.

This scrimmage they were going over certain situations. He was okay.

It doesn't matter, why single out that poster for having an out dated opinion?

From all accounts, players, former players, and CLM, Harris does perform a lot better during practice as opposed to in the heat of battle. That says that the physical talent is there; the mental toughness is not, apparently.

It was me, I won't run from it. He still hasn't played a good defense yet.

At that scrimmage he looked like shite against our defense.

If he goes into auburn and does his thing then I'll eat crow.

But I'm not going nuts over jax st and miss st. Let's give teams time to get film on him before we claim him to be the Les job savior
