It is mostly about what players we have. Take a look at Cam Cameron, what could he do with AJ?

So a guy that is known as a great recruiter didn't have players to coach after 3 years at Clemson?

Tell me one coach who has won a title without having top recruiting classes (at least one) the previous years?

Coaches decide what O or D they will run. Not the players

Ok.. Easy.. AU Chizik 2010.

2009 #18
2008 #20
2008 #7
2007 #7

(He was hired in 2009 so really the 2 #7s don't count)

exactly, that is what I mean. Some view those #7s as #3s. Also, who was the QB?

Florida won in 2006 under Meyer.

OSU was also terrible before Meyer arrived, and instantly better his first year. I'd say coaching, especially in football, certainly matters.

Basketball is more about players IMO.

Isn't Saban your hero? What did he win before he came to LSU?

You asked the question. I gave you the answer you didn't want. You were wrong. Gene Chizik and Urban Meyer both had non top classes as HCs at their schools prior to winning the BCS. I even asked you to clarify what "top" meant. You said #5. AU has two #7 classes prior to Chizik and then you claim that "some" people considered that #3 classes? WHO?

Wow, I needed a good laugh this morning in light of what has transpired.

If talent is the primary factor when determining success in football, then why is it that a school that leads the NFL with active players on roster has only claimed one SEC title in the last seven seasons?
