You understand that LSU can't play like they
did against Towson and expect to win. As for
your question I will be congratulating the team
on a big win. Always have pull for them and always
will. Just showing a little concern! BTW, I see a 14-10
LSU win but hoping for a beat down like last season!

Some fans don't get it!I think you are mistaken! Remember this was Towson not Bama last Sat. in TS. I guess Fla. will score 44 on us in the swamp. Surely they are twice as good as Towson. You know what you saw last Sat. wasn't LSU football. Although I'm sure you don't want to admit it. As I stated in the post I do support the team and the coaches but the time to be concerned is here! Sometimes the truth hurts!
wow, a double down.
wow, a triple down.
wow, a quadruple down.
wow, lots of downs.
cybertiger goin' DOWN!

Anyone that was at the game could see that there were problems. Hey, how about a spoiler for the season. Bring Tyrann Mathieu back now. I bet the other teams arent expecting that. He's not under suspension by the NCAA or the school. Just by Miles. Talk about pump up the defense.

If our team plays undisclipline ball then who
do you blame, the fans? Miles even referred to
this Mon. Opening Statement...
"First, the Towson team, in my opinion, earned their respect in our stadium. They played hard, very competitive and they have good players. They are a well-coached team. I think our football team, no matter how many times I said and mentioned that they were used to winning and a conference championship team, I don't know if I got the point across. Certainly I didn't. I think there is an understanding that we need to play better and it is our culture that we need to be consistent. I think our team understands that. Offensively, the uncharacteristic turnovers, I am glad that they are getting them out early as much as I hate to see them. We can't afford that as we go forward. We teach ball security very aggressively, and we will continue that again today, Tuesday, Wednesday and right on through. I can't imagine that it won't get addressed well and fixed."

I too would like the Tigers to play their best game every week and be good enough to beat everybody by 40 but that is not a realistic expectation. And while its understandable to voice concerns over areas where we are not excelling, throwing Miles under the bus for these struggles is absurd.
The bottom line is WIN and he has done that better than any other coach in LSU history! You rantards complain about more emphasis on the run game and not enough on the passing game, but having a strong run game is the foundation for winning. I agree that if we had a very strong pass game too it would make us nearly unbeatable. But we have a first year starter at QB and history shows us that very few first year starters at QB in the SEC excel.Maybe next year he will be a top QB.
Yes we have a few problem areas but we have won 18 regular season games in a row, just like we did under Archer, Hallman, and DiNardo.OH wait, never mind.WE are viewed as a force in college football year in and year out. We may lose a few games this year. But regardless,we need to enjoy the roll we're on,even if we're not perfect.

Maybe last season, where they had nothing but blowouts, was a the exception to the rule. I remember two years ago, they let everyone hang around in games and they were all close wins, or close losses. They only beat Tennessee that year because Derek Dooley didn't realize they had 14 players, both coordinators, and the mascot on the field to stop a goal line dive attempt at the end of the game.

BTW, speaking of Stud, this part-time Offensive Coordinator/part-time Offensive Line coach scenario needs a re-think. Can't split coaching time like that and produce maximum effectiveness. Stud needs to be EITHER the OC OR the OL coach. Not both.
exactly! no coord in the nation is a success as a coord and position coach!!

I never said I was throwing him under the bus! I will
continue to support him and the team but he admitted
he didn't have them focused. Just concerned about
the direction of our team. I know some will want to throw
him under the bus if he doesn't make the big game but
I will not be one them. Now lets go beat the gators!

Look, I'm the most loyal LSU tiger fan there is and
support our teams and all our coaches, but the
reality of the situation our team finds itself in has
nothing to do with Miles' secret playbook, his IQ, or
not showing his poker hand. Miles and his staff are
still hung over from 1/09/2012. Yes, Miles' record
looks great on the surface but one has to look
deeper in order to find the real truth about this man
and his coaching abilities. When he was interviewed
to replace Saban I remember a statement being made
that LSU wanted to be the best. What we saw on 1/09/2012
was typical Miles' coaching and stubbornness. In all his years at LSU he has yet to hire an OC and actually let the man coach. Every D1 coach in the land knows Miles' tendencies. Saban surely does! The truth is we are 5-0 but are not a very
good team at this time. There is not reason for any coach at
a D1 school to field a team as undisciplined as our team
looked last Sat. in TS. The truth is the buck stops with Miles
and it all comes down to coaching! Yes, we can attribute some
to injuries and attrition but with the talent we have there is a true lack of coaching. Miles better wake up or he will always
be second best to you know who!
I feel your pain but 1/9/12 is over. Look if Saban is such a great coach, he could have went to Ohio State or Michigan or maybe Florida State and guess what ? LSU would still have to play Saban's team in the BCSNC game. Just because he went to Alabama, our chief nemesis, doesn't mean Tiger fans would be o.k with him winning someplace else.
Saban is the Tom Osborne of the SEC. He has gotten better as a coach and administrator since leaving Michigan State. It bothers me we have to contend with him on a year to year basis but if you want to build a championship program for years and be dominant in college football, you can't hide your face under a pillow. Alabama is here to stay and so is LSU. What is the difference if LSU plays Alabama in the BCS or plays a Saban lead Ohio State team in the BCS ?
If you want to be the best, you can't hide from the best no matter if it is Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma or USCw .

Shut the frick up and enjoy the ride. It's really hard to play for a NC much less win it.
Probably the best thing I have ever read on the board.
Especially when we play against a coach who has already won two titles, and had revenge on his mind.

Exactly, I'm not saying LSU should hid under
a pillow. You understand that to be the best you
have to beat the best! Yes, I'm over the game just
not sure the coaches and players are. You can say
it's a new season with new aspirations. This is true
but how can a coaching staff and team be playing
as undisciplined going into the sixth game of our
season. Yes, we have new players starting but Miles
needed to get their attention and get it fast before going
into the swamp after all we are LSU not Towson! Just concerned that's all. Now lets go make it a triple!
