Les is an original, but he is a very very good coach. You guys should be proud. Sure he eats grass, and is a hoot during interviews but he has "it".

A Florida fan gets it but for some reason our dumb arse fans do not. You do not get a record with that many wins like Les Miles has by accident. The man is a good coach! Yes, his style might be boring to watch at times but it works and wins games and that is what matters.

We may out talent most but
remember who was here before Les. In
that race talent alone can't win.

This is true ... after all, a Miles-coached team has NEVER beatena Saban-coached team. Amiright?

The Les Miles offense consists of S.E.C. talent being forced to play a conservative, old school, Big 10, Bo Schembechler style of offense. L.S.U. is just beating (on the surface) everybody they play , but not displaying any great offensive exhibition. Doesn't matter if it's Crowton, Krags, Stud or whomever, the offense philosophy of the head coach that has won 80 out of 98 games will not change. Why do you think Miles has never hired an OC with a wide open philosophy that will come in and let it rip? Because he knows how to win (on the surface) in the S.E.C. an he does not care how many OC's are interested in winning under the surface.
FIFY

Oh and BTW OP, to state the obvious - winning on the surface is all that matters!

frick that, LSU needs to win under the surface! I want LSU to play like Baylor and pass for 600 yards a game. Saban and Bama won't know what hit em! Nevermind, Baylor lost last Saturday....

Do me a favor and use Lacour and Saban in a sentence.

Any sentence will do.

Lacours vajayjay gets moist when he thinks of Saban yelling obscenities at him.

Everyone really seems to be bashing this guy but I believe there might be some validity to his statement...look if we play like we did against auburn, towson, etc. I would content because we are winning. However, this effort is unlikely to get us through the SEC gauntlet...I don't think we're holding much back and I don't think it can blamed on a single coach or position. But we do have some serious issues to fix...mainly execution and stupid penalties...don't give this guy too much hassle...

BTW- what's the name of that other LSU Football Head Coach who won 80 out of 98 games again- in ANY span?

THIS! I have been reading this board for several years. It never ceases to amaze me how many people seem to be experts at coaching a nationally recognized program. I carry the same passion about the program and desire to see the team perform up to their ability each week as most of you do that voice your opinion.

Do I complain about about certain play calls during the game, YES. Do I wonder why the team (coaches and players) has mental faux pas on occasion with penalties, fumbles, clock management, etc., YES.

I am fan and supporter of LSU. Ask yourself this question, do any of the coaches or players want to lose games or play the game to lose, NO, but HELLLL NO!!! They are going to do what it takes to win the game... run the hell out the ball, pass, fake punt, whatever.

You are either for the team or not. I, for one, am for the team. Those men are going to dig deep and play to win. The coach is going to make the calls that he thinks is necessary to get the 'W'. Peace be with all of you!

Did I say Les was a bad coach? No, but
we can't play like we played last Sat. and expect
to win in the SEC. I still support Les and LSU and
always will but now's the time to man up and
play LSU ball!

I truly appreciate the depth of talent CLM has built through recruiting. And it has paid great dividends. But the truth is, lack of consistent execution is what has held this program back from being a multiple championship dynasty.

Poor execution, from players or coaches, is an issue at times with most teams. But if a championship is your goal, you have to be solid in this area too. Not perfect, just consistent.

I have been posting this since the Towson game ended. This is the main reason for the love/hate sentiments so many have with CLM.

The fact is....Les cost LSU a National Title.

His personal/professional faults in game planning, mid game adjustments and overall team discipline were exposed by Saban in the most important of games on 1/9.

With the great Louisiana talent available year in year out, among the best facilities in the sport and a 4.5 million dollar salary, LSU is doing all it can to win championships. Miles does not get the most out of his players, the team plays down to its competition and the mental mistakes and lack of preparation are unacceptable. The only reason Miles has such a good record is because LSU pays top dollar to assistants that help the team win in spite of Miles' stubborn arse.

Oh and...for all you sunshine pumpers: blow me!!!
