So what’s the reason we regressed after the Bama game?

Physically beat up? Emotionally drained? Flu?

Teams adjusted to what Perkins was doing. Put him in bad decisions and allowed for success. Additionally, lack of depth, and Georgia has that.

Coaching?

Several posters on here made comments on how flat and uninspired the team looked, especially against A&M.

They schemed for Perkins, schemed for Daniels, and DL depth hurt down the stretch combined with pathetic LB play.

We aren't diverse in how we attack the defenses and other teams figured that out.

That game has so much buildup, they left it all out there. We were lucky we didn’t lose at Arky.

Depth plus reading too many message boards talking about SECCG and possible CFP. And, yes, players ARE affected by fans/media talk.

Perhaps we played over our heads for the Bama game and came back to our baseline thereafter. That was kind of our Super Bowl. Sometimes guys step it up a notch for certain games, but eventually come back down.

Pretty much nailed it! LB has been a big problem since 2019 ended.

I think Daniels got a little full of himself.

I've seen mainly hate thrown at the offense. While it wasn't great, the defense was shite the last 2 weeks.
Entire defense was bad at stopping the run, limited pass rush, LB play was brutal. I'm hoping Tolan somehow becomes an All-Sec caliber player over the offseason.

Multiple reasons:

Really teams adjusted on Daniels and recognized he wasn’t going to test them deep. When teams stopped fearing the deep pass, the closed in their defenses and cluttered the box making it harder to run.

On defense, teams schemed Perkins out of the game and the fatigue factor kicked in heavily for the defense.

Injuries to key players with limited quality depth behind them hurt too.

Overall, team just looked tired. I think they gave so much for the Bama game and never recovered.

Depth on positions where teams can rotate (d-line and LB). People figured out Daniels simply couldn’t beat a team with his arm. Dropped 7-8 with a 3 man rush and a spy.

Coaches did not seem to make adjustments and schemes that supported the fatigue and lack of depth. We were too predictable and our QB reached his ceiling by the Bama game
