So Mettenberger is a starting NFL QB....

This just confirms we had NFL talent all over the field the last couple of years. Defense and Offense including QB. Almost enough to start an NFL expansion team. Kudos to Les for recruiting all that talent and a big thumbs down for having nothing to show for it except for debacle in the National Championship game, a loss in the chicken shite bowl and a win in the nobody went or cared bowl last year, and a likely embarrassment bowl appearance this year.

Kind of on the same topic--really glad for Mettenberger. One of the toughest kids I've seen play college QB. And really embraced LSU the short time he was here.

what it really confirms is that he was the best QB on LSU's campus the minute he arrived but LEs' constant vacant head decisions at QB were going on way back then.
This year is nothing new but just as dumb. LSU has proven it will play lower classmen at just about every position if they are better EXCEPT QB...When it comes to that Leslie's favorites play over talent every time.

Mett is starting as a rookie in the nfl but he couldnt beat out JJ/JL his first year here.
So yeah we can get nfl calibur talent. But if you want to use mett as a standard we can only get about one good year from it our nfl qb talent

So mett got a chance and he is doing well
Let's not act like mett was the second coming of Bert Jones while at LSU.
Also remember that when mett was here cameron and mett talked extensively about fixing Mett's footwork and decision making skills the summer before his senior year

It takes more than talent to win a NC. Of the top 12 colleges producing NFL talent, only 4 of those schools have won a NC in the past decade. Miami and USC have produced more NFL players than LSU in that time frame and haven't won it all in the past 10 years.

Keep in mind mett had been going to Uga camps since he was a kid. He can credit most of his development to bobo and Richt. We were lucky he fell into our lap
