John McCain has done more to damage the US as a Senator than he ever did as a Navy pilot. He was my Senator, and he didn't even know what his job was as a Senator. He proved it right up through his last votes. frick McCain.

Link?

Anyway, at risk of sounding like an apologist, what war have we won since WWII? Thats not a knock on the military. Its a knock on pussified "leaders" who send our men and women to war with no real mission and fricked up RoE. I dont care who said it, it's true.

I'm having trouble finding disrespecting statements about the US.

Go take a look how more likely black teens the same age at white teens, with the exact same record, with the exact same charge are tried as adults.

Not one person has said thugs killing people was ok. That's the weakest response by a racist conservative. Not all black people approve of sht other black people do and I'm one of them. Are you that stupid that you don't know the difference in civilian idiots killing each other vs officials in uniform paid with taxpayer dollars killing unarmed civilians?

No, many of the black men killed were saints. But, they doesn't mean they shouldn't live to stand trial and do their deserved time if guilty. Just this past weekend, 2 more cops were let off the hook in Sacramento after killing unarmed Stephon Clark. Kill first, arrest later is the way of the KKK turned officers on the beat.

Not all are racist and not all cops are bad. Not all black men killed were innocent. But the percentage of black suspects killed is unjust and gives more reason for kneeling that gets under your skin.

You are a caricature of a pawn. You have bought the narrative 100%, and will not dare deviate.

I will stand 100% with anyone unjustly breathed upon by any official... uniformed, appointed, elected, bureaucratic, or otherwise. You play into the hands of those claiming to help you by believing the whole KKK bullshite. Ironically, the people spouting that narrative are actually the same people that were in or mentored by those in the KKK. Stop being a pawn. Wake up.

Wow some of you people are insane. Oh no a football player won't show stand for the anthem. Last time I checked this is America where you are protected by the 1st amendment. It's not like he's out their pissing and shitting on the flag while holding an Iran flag. All you people who are complaining probably are trumpers who love the constitution but cry when it doesn't work in your favor.

We're also protected by the first amendment and can disagree with anyone we choose to. Maybe he should use better judgment and display his first amendment rights in a more proper manner.

The people who fought for the flag also fought for the right for people to burn it. They also fight for the right of an employer to fire those who protest on the job. They also fight for those of us who call out fake narratives and dupes that are pawns in the hands of those who actually DO hate America and fundamentally transform it.

Divide a nation by race, class, religion, and then accuse your opponent of division. It is a tactic older than Marx himself, and is in full play with Leftists.

Fournette is not an America hater. He is a pawn.

This is so absurd. Yes, there are bad cops. But a bad cop doesn't mean he is a racists cop. "you people" just find a way to turn everything into race. White people are also killed by bad cops. And sometimes people are killed because it's just a dangerous situation and it has nothing to do with anything other than self preservation (and perhaps at times lack of training). Judging a man on what he does in the split of a second.... when he's seen his partners killed, attended funerals, watched kids grow up without their dads, and perhaps dodged a few bullets of his own? Meanwhile you have a dude twice your size disobeying commands, and one that has a past criminal record.

Spot on. Part of the problem is cops are not paid much so it's hard to attract quality cadets for a dangerous job that has become more and more vilified. Training is not adequate as well. There is also this new era of "I have my rights and don't have to comply". That goes equally on the left and right. Refusing to comply escalates the situation and increases the risk to the cop and citizen. It's simple, "follow the officer's commands and there won't be a beat down. Comply and there won't be a beat down. Don't run and there won't be a beat down." Having immediate family in law enforcement I can tell you they don't care if you are white or black. Failure to comply will result in consequences you don't want. With my family knowing officers like Thomas Lavalley who was executed in Shreveport they want to go home to their families at the end of the night so comply so you can go home to yours.

Does that include Jessie Jackson. He has made millions by keeping the distrust alive.

Think about it. Are folks advising LF getting rich poking the bear.

“There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps... then turn around and see somebody white and feel relieved.”

? Jesse Jackson

Was that a racist statement?

This is true, but the narrative goes beyond that. People are TAUGHT that "COPS WANT TO KILL YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE BLACK." Does that not invoke fear in the community? Instead of respectful compliance and/or respectful dissent, it invokes fight or flight. Bad shite happens, and compounds the narrative.

This goes right along with "society hates you because you're black, brown, gay, etc and you'll never succeed on your own. You need a politician, government program, etc, etc to survive." Generations of people are conditioned to be inferior by those who profit from their dependence. It is slavery, but instead of shackles they use stamps. It's the same mindset, the same people, the same outcome, and it's just as sickening and wrong as it ever has been.

Ok your title and the article are different. He invited a kid to a game. I’m sure the kid understands the social climate he lives in better than you or I. It’s the freedom we were given. Let it go.

wow, there's a truckload of wrong in this post.

First off, it absolutely IS disrespectful.

And it has NOTHING to do with free speech. The First Amendment only protects against the GOVERNMENT limiting free speech rights. Employers can limit their employees free speech all day long. And they should, because most places of business don't want to become filled with protest about every political/religious/social issue -- they're a business. Now if Fournette wants to protest on his own time, I have no problem with that.

But not on the job.

According to Fatal Encounters, the database created by former Reno News & Review editor and journalism instructor Burghart (which tracks all deaths resulting from interactions with police), a total of 1,388 people were killed by police in 2015, 318 (23%) of them black, and 560 (40%) of them white. So roughly 23 percent of those killed by any police interaction in 2015 were black and just over 40 percent were white.

How many of these white deaths have you heard about?
