It is absolutely freedom of speech... and based on a lie. That lie is based on the premise that America is something that it is not, and most of these guys are living proof that it is a lie. Yet, they protest in the face of their own existence.
It's a shame that this will go over most people's heads.

Dude, I think you talk just to talk, and type just to type. Did you serve? Do you have any military widows in your family? Do you have any fatherless children due to loss of life during service in your family? Let them speak for themselves! You are way out of your league. I have seen it up close, by the way. 99.9% of military and vets do not agree with you. Just shut your mouth.

It goes over people's heads because it utter bullshite. Being a highly paid athlete in no way proves or disproves racism in the justice system.

Thank you for your service. Most of the keyboard tough guys would never have the courage to serve yet think they speak for those that do.

Or what?

My stance is that when i hear the anthem or see the flag I see the lives given by our veterans so that we can live in the best country in the world.

BUT i also realize that not everyone thinks the flag and athem represents our military.

Ill post what i want to post, boy.

How about you give a shite about all murders, not just the ones that aren't murders.

I've seen the narratives created first hand. Gang members, errand boys for kingpins get locked up and the story is "the law is putting this nice boy in prison" etc. Dead murderers killed "on the job" are suddenly wonderful students and loving fathers that died too young and unjustly.

Not one person has said thugs killing people was ok. That's the weakest response by a racist conservative. Not all black people approve of sht other black people do and I'm one of them. Are you that stupid that you don't know the difference in civilian idiots killing each other vs officials in uniform paid with taxpayer dollars killing unarmed civilians?

No, many of the black men killed were saints. But, they doesn't mean they shouldn't live to stand trial and do their deserved time if guilty. Just this past weekend, 2 more cops were let off the hook in Sacramento after killing unarmed Stephon Clark. Kill first, arrest later is the way of the KKK turned officers on the beat.

Not all are racist and not all cops are bad. Not all black men killed were innocent. But the percentage of black suspects killed is unjust and gives more reason for kneeling that gets under your skin.

This is so absurd. Yes, there are bad cops. But a bad cop doesn't mean he is a racists cop. "you people" just find a way to turn everything into race.

White people are also killed by bad cops. And sometimes people are killed because it's just a dangerous situation and it has nothing to do with anything other than self preservation (and perhaps at times lack of training).

Judging a man on what he does in the split of a second.... when he's seen his partners killed, attended funerals, watched kids grow up without their dads, and perhaps dodged a few bullets of his own?

Meanwhile you have a dude twice your size disobeying commands, and one that has a past criminal record.

Look, your stance in this latest response is fine and not why I replied to you. You just talk so much that you try and play both sides of arguments. I am not going to go back and forth with you.

Or what and calling me boy? You are a real tough guy. I am a real warrior, not a keyboard warrior. I don't say things over the internet that I wouldn't say face to face. You want to say those to me in person? Maybe we could meet at a game?

Agreed.

Cops are sometimes put in impossible positions and then judged by those impossible positions with hindsight.

Im not playing both sides.

I gave my feelings about the flag and anthem. My feelings in no way means everyone feels that way.

Y'all care waaay to much about this shite. The only reason the players are even on the field for the anthem is because the DoD pumped a shite-ton of marketing $ into the NFL after 9-11. They weren't out on the field prior to that. The simple solution is to stop having them on the field at all and the "controversy" goes away.

Let me ask you all something: How many of you when sitting on your fat asses in your lazy boy at home stand up while the anthem is playing? I'm guessing it's less than 10% and most of those people probably started doing it after people started kneeling. Look around during the anthem at any sporting event probably 1/2 the people in the crowd are standing around chatting. Cameramen are walking around with hats on taking pictures of the kneeling players while the anthem is playing. Why is there no outrage for any of these situations?

If they did what they were told, they’d still be alive. How crazy is that shite?

It’s even crazier when you say it aloud. Give it a shot

Weird because Every game i played in since little league, high school etc required players to stand for the national anthem before a game but maybe the NFL is above that

I asked what they ARE protesting.

I think they are protesting because they feel black people get treated differently than white people by the police. I don't know how they'd ever prove that beyond the shadow of a doubt but there's certainly enough data out there to suggests it would be silly for any white person to be supremely confident when they declare it all "a lie".

young, black males, 21 times more likely to be shot dead by police than white men

^That's probably a world many of you aren't familiar with.

Wait, so you’re telling me a group who commits a disproportionate amount of violent crime has more interactions with the police? This can’t be right
