I'm no camera expert, but they could buy a few of these:

And it would be a HUGE improvement

Or just use those cameras for sideline shots and get one of these:

For the main pressbox view shot

I was hoping someone here would know what it would cost to upgrade.

THEY know the cost. They SHOULD also know how many are fed up with the product, so let's start the roll call/petition.

Why so many different pricing for this game. I payed $39.95 with Directv. Was the $25 for outside of Louisiana? 2 friends in the Thibodaux area caught the game for free with Charter. I am sure there was a glitch.

I paid almost $40 for the game on Att Uverse and the quality was the worst I've ever seen on cable TV. Looked like old antenna days picking up an out of town station. No excuse for this crap. I'll never buy it again. it's one level of abuse to rape fans and charge them $40 for a game others are watching free on the internet, but to then deliver the garbage they did is just sleezy.

Since I am numb to all the naming rights stuff going on around the stadium, I wouldn't care if they called it Scotty Moran's Tiger Vision as long as it greatly improved...

Second this. FWIW I stood up and cheered for him Saturday night.

Yea, I paid $40 with Cox PPV for that crap. The feed kept going in and out.

it was strange...channel 787 had the game for $39.95, but channel 788 also had it for only $25. Naturally, I went with channel 788.

787 was PPV and 788 was ESPN Gameplan...don't know the difference except the price.

We got NO broadcast in parts of Shreveport until mid second quarter.
Comcast said they had "problems" getting the broadcast.
For this I paid $39.50.
ANY picture was better than none.
The athletic dep't needs to get this stright. It is bush league, for such a successful program...

I find the picture quality on all the ESPN Gameplan games to suck.

I don't understand why the Alex Box video looks so much better...why do they have HD cameras for baseball but not football?

I complained about this before the game even started (well it was more asking if they will have finally upgraded)

Once the game started...

It's embarrassing

I paid $39.99 on Dish Network. The feed was horrible too. If University of Texas can have their own network, why can't we?

WTF? I paid $40 plus $5 since the asian chick couldn't get it to go through my phone line.

She said that was the only channel DirecTV offered the game on....

Aren't those the CST cameras? I don't know much if anything about equipment at one venue versus the other but I agree. Cox or someone like Chicken mentioned should step up with donation and have their name plastered across the bottom of the screen the whole game. I'm for it!

Agreed. I get the Tigervision games on ESPN Gameplan and there was nothing wrong with the video quality.

It wasn't the cable provider, it was the equipment. I have Eatel, which runs off a singlemode fiber strand to the house. That is 20 times better than a coaxial cable signal, and it was the same.

If they are using shitty cameras, it doesn't matter what the cable company does with the camera feed and how they distribute the signal to the house. Shitty pixels and frames per second is going to give you a picture back in that way. This isn't CSI where Cox or Eatel can zoom in and "clean up" the picture.

By the way, I know you know this Chicken. I'm saying "you" in general.
